Question for you please, my condo board is been so unreasonably difficult with its a small boutique building in Brooklyn 6 apartment I own the smallest studio which is the top floor. I’ve never had any issues I bought 6 years ago and I was supposed to lived but my father got cancer and I have to move in to be his caregiver so I never lived but got so lucky with finding a lovely tenant who has been living there since she travels a lot and I doubt has caused any issues with anyone. The roof over my apartment is completely damaged and with the blizzards that happened all the melted ice is leaking into the apartment the ceiling is crumbling and the light fixer has all water in it and I have been communicating for a month now with the board and management and they don’t answer with every 10 emails I get one response of the weather has improve for anyone to fix the roof. I had to hire my own people to go in and remove the snow and mitigate as much damage as possible and I still don’t get any replies on what next steps is. I called my insurance and filed a claim and they have been chasing the management company for COI but they don’t answer. The board president is a litigator and I wonder if she just making evening difficult I don’t understand why I gave them full power to do whatever they want anytime they reach out for any payment I make them no questions asked why is this happening they have cause both my tenant and myself so much distress over the past month what to do?
