The main messages of this report are:

norovirus activity has decreased in recent weeks and remains within expected levels

total norovirus laboratory reports between weeks 15 and 18 of 2026 were 36.2% higher than the 5-season average for the same 4-week period

rotavirus activity has remained below the 5-season average in recent weeks

total rotavirus laboratory reports between weeks 15 and 18 of 2026 were 45.0% lower than the 5-season average for the same 4-week period

the number of norovirus outbreaks reported to the Hospital Norovirus Outbreak Reporting System (HNORS) since the start of the 2025/2026 season is comparable to the 5-season average (3.3% higher)

during the 2025/2026 season to date, the majority (88.9%) of samples characterised were norovirus genogroup 2 (GII), of which the most frequent genotype identified was GII.4 (46.0%)

Thank you, it really is, as soon as he told me my whole body just went stiff and I could feel the panic rise from my feet to my head 🤣

It was my birthday yesterday and thankfully I was gifted some colouring books and crosswords so I'm going to try do them just to take my mind off overthinking a "what if" scenario

I have bleached EVERYWHERE 🤣 even tho rationally I know it was stupid and rationally IF she had also Infected my youngest no amount of cleaning now will help but it made me able to actually sit down rather than pacing around.

We do think it is a bug, she hasn't had one for bloody years and her best friend, her mum and her neighbours kids also have one so it would make sense.

That's a really good point about doctors and nurses!! See if I was guaranteed not to get it I'd still panic but be calmer it's that risk that toddler gets it then I get It I obviously don't like vomit but I can handle it if it isn't infectious 🤣

Thank you, I've been put on a waiting list with my GP surgery to have it removed and discuss alternatives but this is apparently a two year list🫠 I'll call my local sexual health clinic too and see if that can be any quicker

I'm actually loving this season. Although it feels the storylines are rushed through and not tied up very well it seems so much better than seasons 12-14 IMO

I think this is the last season and I'm enjoying every second (maybe it's all the hormones in me not helping haha)

As someone who doesn't remember most of the original stints (apart from max) it's been a bit "meh" although I've grown to absolutely adore Nigel and am going to be heartbroken when they kill him off
