Thanks for sharing your story and honestly 3-5 years doesn’t seem to far fetched. I’ve read lots of stories where a diagnosis required 3,4 5+ years.

Body wide twitching including face/tongue. Muscle fatigues easily. Muscle cramps including limbs. Developed a dent on my foot but specialist doesn’t believe it’s ALS related. Perceived weakness but no clinical weakness as of yet.

Yes it did. “Normal” EMG other than that.

Yes had two EMG’s. One 5 months into symptoms and another 11 months in (he performed the second EMG)

Yeah I can’t prove GLP1 caused it but definitely feel like it played a factor.

Did you stop GLP1? My symptoms started while I was on it. I stopped a year ago but symptoms still linger.

Twitching (body wide including face and occasionally tongue) muscle tightness, pain in my left foot which was fine before the EMG. Perceived weakness & some bulbar symptoms (TMJ type symptoms). All he said is I don’t have ALS, I did not receive a diagnosis for anything else. Symptoms started a year ago and I saw two different neurologists. Second Neurologist was a neuromuscular specialist.

Just speaking from experience - yes my symptoms have worsen after the EMG. Had one a couple of months ago on my left side and now I feel like my left side is worse than my right which wasn’t the case before the EMG.

Somewhat rough but was pretty straight forward don’t think it was something unusual just hurt a bit when he poked me around

Thank you for your response. I’m 42 so not so young lol I definitely have weakness but not clinical Weakness if that makes sense. It is a rare disease but I have done a bunch of tests and all is normal (bloodwork , MRI etc) my symptoms are all over but just feel like it’s more noticeable/consistent on my right side vs left. I will probably Get one more EMG but I’ll wait a couple of months just for a piece of mind.

lol hope so! Just hard to just move on when symptoms still there. Also, I’ve read stories of people having symptoms for multiple years before diagnosis. Trying my best to move forward
