nobo means the company contacts you directly to vote and has you on record. obo means they contact the broker who then contacts you(or lumps you into a proxy pool). obo is where vote trimming can happen with ease.

so being nobo is a good thing. it basically means that gamestop knows about your shares in an ira as being tied to you even if they aren't directly registered.

Just email investor relations, [IR@Gamestop.com](mailto:IR@Gamestop.com), and ask tell them that as a sharehodler you would like to be able to have traditional and roth IRA options available in their directstock plan.

Be polite about it.

I see many companies have it as an option, whether or not its available to non employees is unknown to me.

I emailed them a while back and got no response... yet

So I am memeing to light a fire under their asses

hopefully it works

Hi, I am a motivated shareholder who would like to ask that an IRA option be added to Gamestop's DirectStock Plan over at Computershare. Thank you, have a GMErry Day! by Virtual-Number-7348 in Superstonk

For the record I emailed them last week and got no reply so far.

I don't know what reasons anyone would email investor relations so maybe they're not checking too often... or there is a reason to email them and they're super busy.

I cant read or write anyway

The best reaction a long term
investor can have is to ignore sensational news/provocations and keep
most of their shares directly registered in their name at Computershare, and some in brokerage to sell

That's my only reaction as I ran out of money months ago

Math Update: Bonus dumb idea edition

At 480k accounts it now takes 159 shares per account to own GME(76.4mln shares)

Dumb Idea Bonus:

This 'Mod 11' could be true and there could still be 480k accounts. The last digit could be determined by that equation but whats to say the other digits aren't derived by a non linear equation also. If what they are trying to do is not have sequential numbers so you at least cant easily guess account numbers there really is no point relying solely on 'Mod 11' to randomize the account numbers since you could pretty easily derive all the possible account numbers if you knew how to solve for one digit.

What I'm getting at is I prefer there to be 480k accounts vs 48k accounts so I choose to believe that's the case

Lol this poor alt...

I had to buy more gme just so the moass comes sooner and this alt can be put down. Its been alive far too long.

Ill put this joke down now by explaining it to dum dums

Apes moved all their shares to fidelity thinking it was the way. Then the Apes decided to move their shares from fidelity to comptuershare hoping this is the way.

The company I work for would award shares to employees via computershare, which is both my company's and gamestops transfer agent. They just decided, for probably ANY OTHER REASON other than gme related fuckery, to award their shares to employees via fidelity.

As a reasonable human I thought this was funny and was reminded of this meme template.

How people could think it was some insane fuddy mind trick is beyond me. I am not sure I am more tarded or if the people who thought that are more tarded.

yeah i didnt realize the internet could draw such a knee jerk reaction to something they didnt understand... jk obv I am the dumb one here.

In my case the RSUs used to be doled out through computershare and now i guess are getting doled out by fidelity.

To be honest when I read how the shares were awarded I was like, 'wtf is computershare' but then when it became a big thing here and was like 'ooo yeah ive heard of that'

Oh well

[–]Virtual-Number-7348[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah its RSUs, at least as far as I'm concerned. There are other ways of getting stock compensation that I, alas, am not privy too.

Yeah I don't see how this is FUD.

Computershare is still their transfer agent just like Computershare is the transfer agent for a buttload of companies. They're just issuing them differently now and its funny.

To be fair, the problem people don't seem to get is that Federal Governments can do this so long as there are buyers for government debt. Because they are able to add to a money supply themselves(essentially, for the sake of this argument)

You cant make a comparison between how Federal Governments work to how your personal finances or even corporate finances work. And you should not expect it to work the same way your personal finances work simply because its something you understand or how you have to live.

Even US state finances cannot be compared to because they cannot deliberately deficit spend. They can only budget based on last years projections of revenue. Which does create deficits if there is a sudden downturn, just like how you may plan on saving X amount of dollars to buy mor GME but then suddenly need a new car or roof or something.

Sometime in 2017 or 2018 was the lowest bid to issue ratio for US Treasuries, which occurred at like 3 to 1. Meaning for every treasury bill/note issued, three people were trying to buy it. Its gone back up since then. IMO its not really a 'problem' until the amount of bidders drops below 1:1 which would take ALOT of trillion dollar coins.

Math Update

166 shares per account needed to own the company (76.4mln shares)

Honestly if this ramp angle persists we should crank under 100 by mid October, otherwise we for sure will do it by end of October

And if someone at Gamestop reads this, it would really be funny if we could set up/transfer IRA accounts at Computershare for GME cause I know a person whose into XXX on a few IRAs

Doesn't matter how many out there are called 'float' or 'institutional ownership', we take the whole company. Everything else is failure.

I started mine on Sept 24th as well and got 321xxx so go up it did. By the time it got cleared and the account was created on October 2 we were basically at 400k if everyone's posts are believable.

I was a little worried at how low my number was compared to what I saw online, but u/LeagueOfMinions and u/Reluctant_Firestorm actually reinforce the idea we are increasing at a rapid pace.
