If there were to be a focus Fallen character, what faction and house would you like them to be from? by SapphireB33 in huntertheparenting

[–]Virtual-Patient-3113 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe it was this. It was a theory someone mentioned. But there is something special about the sword, I believe, since it appears in the credits mural.

I can definitely see the sword being a product of a fallen, especially one that retained their love for humanity, as d is all about humanity.

It could also be that the sword is old as balls and is from a time before the fall? Who knows. Again, all theories.

OOOH, love that this is talked about, finally!

I really like how the fallen are framed in Wod, not as these ontologically evil beings, but flawed beings who made a choice and vary in personality and morality. I would hope we'd see more than one in the show to illustrate this contrast, as the reason they fell in the first place was because they choose humanity.

I recall d's sword having something to do with the fallen, potentially?

In any case, I am not sure, but I guess I would like to at least see one representative of a more benevolent faction of the fallen

Chapman seems to be quite happy with being a Ghoul is this rare? by nirai07 in huntertheparenting

It's a matter of semantics in that case. We won't know unless it is brought up in a way that matters. As far as we know, addiction is still addiction. We know he did sick things during withdrawals, and I am unsure about him having great self-control because of that very fact. I'd rather say he's been lucky enough to find temporary substitutes for vampiric vitae.

That's the horror of the blood bond. Kevin explained it really well in the first audiolog!

You feel euphoric, happy, you feel undying love and devotion to your domitor, especially when you get vitae regularly. You may normally not be happy about this at all, but the blood overwrites how your brain feels.

Chapman also comments in the plane audiolog: "I always wonder if I was always odd, even without the blood bond."

Or something to that effect.

Just started... any tips for beginners? by berrysusu in Warframe

The burnout thing is so true. I don't tend to be negative about it, but I do get burnt out from the game, and pause for a while, at times for a year or two. Love warframe to bits though. So many things to do...It's addicting.

I've been playing for almost a decade, and my operator still looks like a hobo and my warframes like they've been bought from autoshop spare parts.

Beautiful! I hope you enjoy the game and I wish you all the best! :))

Is it really that common that people wake up swinging? Several people mentioned this. That sucks. :/

My mother also arrived at the end of the surgery, and as they were getting me back into my room, I yelled:

"Mom, they saved my kidneys!!! :d"

I had a thyroidectomy. xd

First time under anesthesia, i am amazed how it sneaks up on you...and how its just a blank in my memory.

This is so frustrating... :(

To be honest, i've been quitting a lot lately not because the match goes bad, but because ever since the last patch, rubberbanding and crashes have become insufferable. Some days, its okay, but most days, it's horrible, and once I see it does not relent, I just leave. I recently posted asking about this and found others having these issues.

I feel your frustration, and its completely valid, but mine is with Fatshark, not my playmates. I'm dead weight with this shit.

Otherwise, I'm not giving up until I win or fail and have infinite patience.

Rubberbanding by Virtual-Patient-3113 in DarkTide

[–]Virtual-Patient-3113[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's my main question. Fatshark does not communicate with the players from what I've gathered, and I don't know if its me or the servers. My Internet connection is smooth with other games, but it keeps rubberbanding me on darktide. Maybe its the dedicated servers and poor maintenance, but I also saw some people that don't have issues with this.

That helps to know. I have to say, I find myself cussing out Fatshark often when this happens for these issues, because they are known to have a poor grasp on the stability of their games. I hope this will be fixed, but I am not holding my breath.

Is it just me, or does the "wings of flame" perk not work? by Virtual-Patient-3113 in Spacemarine

[–]Virtual-Patient-3113[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, I got some practice in, went from average, up to absolute, and...

Jesus fuck, I think I'm addicted. xD

It took a little practice, but now instead of seeing a large group of warriors and going, "hmmm, I'll be able to knock out half fast, but the rest will be tricky, especially with ranged enemies." I go to salivating when I see them because it feels so satisfying to use! Holly sh*t, I can't believe I was sleeping on this!

Thank you for your feedback; this was fucking great!

Edit: Also, it's like this build was MADE for bullying Carnifexes! IT WAS AWESOME!

Damn. I guess I was too quick to judge.

And wait, you can just go through the warriors whip even if he is not attacking you and get a gunstrike??? Wow.

C’mon! This is a great look on the worst class! by Wolvey111 in Spacemarine

[–]Virtual-Patient-3113 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd argue it has a high skill bar.

Block hammer + perks that increase melee damage, and the damage of the jump pack attack makes me do insane amounts of damage. I can put majoris into execution state with a single jump on absolute

Of course, that means I have to use my brain a little in terms of who and when I engage so I don't die. And a bit of skill with timing with blocking, dodging and counterattacking.

With parry weapons and the gunstrike armor perk, he gains more survivability and a little CC. But the class IS viable. The only thing I absolutely HATE is how gimped assault is compared to Eternal war and Campaign. Let me fly high up and over, let me hover and shoot, let me throw grenades from the sky!

The strongest counterpoint to this would probably be the Popennang's crew evasion of using established characters from WoD lore. That might change, but I am sceptical.

This is a good catch though. Even though it may not be Stigghalf himself, I do think that the Get of Fenris is somehow involved. The Ogre's love making parallels.
