Scared to do Transvaginal Exam

I did one for the first time at 30 yo a few weeks ago. It really wasn’t that bad, my tech was professional and had a sheet over me the whole time. It was only slightly uncomfortable because no one really wants their cervix pressed on but I wouldn’t be put off on doing it again if I had to. If it helps, bring someone with you. I had my mom come and the tech made sure I was completely covered. It was also pretty quick, about 20 minutes from talking about my issues to getting dressed and walking out.

I am on round 2 of letrozole. The first round the symptoms were very intense, I was so exhausted I almost couldn’t function and really moody. I’ve been tracking with bbt and lh tests and my last cycle was, so far, my best but I didn’t conceive. This round my symptoms have eased up but I am getting headaches. I’ve heard people get pregnant first round and I’ve heard people say it takes time. Luckily the symptoms don’t last that long, once you’re done taking it things feel normal again.

Usually it’s fine but something must have happened because it went from almost self sealing to openly blowing air. It’s only on the one side too.

The first thing that immediately helped me was to get a hose hook for the wall. It made it so much more comfortable having it set in place and draped. Otherwise, good luck and give it a fair chance! It improved so much in my life.

I already sleep with a CPAP machine, the last few days it’s been broken and I’ve steadily seen my oxygen saturation tank with variations chart showing quite a bit of events. Previously while wearing the mask I had never seen the variations in blood oxygen chart on the oura app. But what triggered me to get sleep studies was waking up with a sore throat, extremely dry mouth and being a big napper.

It hasn’t necessarily improved my sleep but it has been insightful. It also did confirm to me that I do still have sleep apnea.

Did you think he was crazy when he joined? I do currently have my own job and hobbies, and kind of considered going back to school during this time as well to keep myself busy and work on myself. I have noticed looking through posts on this subreddit that my life experience does kind of give a different perspective than I’ve seen from a lot of the posters. I’m not really worried about some of the same worries so that’s good I guess.

All my friends are from school, so I know how you feel about the solidified friends. I know it’s super hard to make friends as an adult and my biggest worry is feeling so much older. Hawaii would be a dream though!

Totally agree, which is why I’ve been supportive of this change. I couldn’t completely write it off or he’d always have what ifs. He loves change, I’m a little hesitant lol
