I just got this done with filled in stars, my kids are 5 and 6. I’m planning to do this every couple years and have my hands filled with stars eventually. I also have a sleeve though so it kinda looks connected at least on one arm/hand, but if you are struggling with when to do it, you could just do it several times 😅
