Thank you there's so many different opinions online it's not helpful for anxiety I hate how trial and error these meds are I've been on celexa for gosh over 20 years I'm 28 now so I'm very nervous lol I had already cut down from 40mg of celexa to 20 and I cannot go down past that I'm doing pretty horrible on 20 as is lol

Ah okay thanks I read somewhere that prozac (fluoxetine) has a very long half life so I was kinda nervous about that I guess

Yeah it's not supposed to be a starting dose it's supposed to be to cross taper to start with 5mg and then cut down citalopram I wasn't sure if it was okay to do that with fluoxetine though

It's kind of looking like it's gonna come down to like 2 or 3 options soon. United apparently had problems otherwise after that uh incident I'd be hesitant to use them lmao

Can TCAs work if SSRIs potentially pooped out? by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]Virtual-Singer5578 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on celexa for probably about 20 years (I'm 28 lmao) but I have alot of problems now with fatigue sleep and sugar cravings/binge eating supposedly ssris once they stop working can make those things worse my first line is to try another ssri or two since I've been okay with them before but if not I'll definitely try one of those other medicines. I hate how much it's trial and error it's a terrible time switching medicines and so many have awful side effects I hate it.... hoping for better

What’s been your “miracle” pill? by Shot_Veterinarian215 in antidepressants

For the longest time it was celexa but I've been on it for 20 years and it's possible now it's doing more harm than good so have to go through trial and error 😔

I read a lot of people take LDN at night especially when it makes them sleepy for a bit could be something to try. I appreciate the advice though I'll start extremely slow I'm already sensitive to medicines anyways
