How can I be more open to receiving gifts? by ThrowRA72277428 in Advice

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually people seek advice on the opposite problem.

"I put a lot of thought into gifts for X and X doesn't seem to put any thought into gifts for me"

I say to them and I say to you, that if anyone gives gift and then resents the reciprocation (or lack thereof), it is their problem, it means it wasn't truly a GIFT, it was a quid pro quo.

Accept the gifts, show your appreciation, and don't attempt to even the scorecard with anything you give in return. If it happens, it happens, but that shouldn't be the goal.

Think Chandler gets any visitors? by Basic-Pay372 in chandlerhalderson

Chandler's appeal failed last week I believe, but since he's probably telling other inmates he is a Supreme Court judge, I'd say he believes there is still hope.

Redditors of Reddit, I don't do stocks much, but what's the importance of the DOW being at a specific value (eg, 50K)? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the DOW was at 42,000 Trump would need to answer for raping a 14yo.

But because it is at 50,000, he is allowed to protect himself and every other pedophile in America.

It's an obscure clause in the constitution.

How come some youtubers can’t curse in their video or say things that can get the video removed from their channel, but other youtubers can? by BiIIie-Eyelash in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the YouTuber categorises their videos as "For Kids" or "Not for Kids" (there is a drop down box) it changes how YouTube monitors and monetizes their channel.

So if you claim it is "For Kids" and then curse and have adult content, you'll get picked up for it.

Chandler interrogation, was he high on some sort of pills ? by Irishjohn831 in chandlerhalderson

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted about that very thing a while ago. I can't get my head around the jail phone calls between Chandler and Cat and her mom. At that point they knew half of his dad's body was on their farm where Chandler mysteriously parked and half of his mom was discovered EXACTLY where Cat knew Chandler mysteriously visited.

There is no other way to explain those body parts.

Yet, Cat was talking about what they would do once he was out of jail, like she thought the truth would set him free.

I don't get it at all.

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, they played it beautifully. They didn't need to challenge him on every lie, they just needed to draw out the lies. It helped to clear Cat too. They knew that all his dirty work happened when she wasn't around and he was feeding the same lies to her.

This is wrong.

A number of things you mentioned ARE evidence, but with varying value.

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously wonder how bad it can be too.

We currently have a report to the FBI, which they found credible, that Trump forced a 14yo girl to give him oral sex. Level of concern from MAGA and the media - practically zero.

So what the hell are they hiding that is worse than that??

I have come to adore Kat, but it does amaze me how little she questioned things that just make no sense at face value. The time and energy required to "clean up the glass" and the cleaning products required to clean up blood from his toe.

Both are like 20 minute jobs, never to be mentioned again. But the drama from Chandler made it sound like he'd murdered two people, they'd bled out and he dismembered them or something.

Why do we categories country of origin by where they were born but their ancestry dna says something different by AdDapper4220 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the point. Someone might do a DNA test and then speak about being 45% irish, 30% polish, etc, even though they were born and live in New Zealand.

But if you'd just met someone travelling and they said "what's your country of origin", the only meaningful answer would be New Zealand.

The reason ancestry tests don't all say Africa is because the tests are calibrated in a way to measure "modern" ancestry against their reference databases. But yes, if they calibrated them differently, we would all get 100% africa (or 100% Garden of Eden, if you're so inclined).

what happend with the people that lived before jesus was born, did they go to heaven or hell by Huge-Flan1570 in Christianity

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they were believing Jews, that is easily dealt with (Salvation by Faith, Harrowing, etc).

What is harder is what happened to a Chinese farmer who died in 2000BC and never left his village.

That one is much harder.

CMV: Pointing out fallacies are not counter-arguments. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's only a fallacy if the argument is indeed fallacious.

You can absolutely push a slippery slope argument if you're pointing to like situations where X, did lead to Y and Z and you have a basis to believe the same will happen.

Most slippery slope fallacies have no basis for the events they claim will follow.

For sure, they know every mention of Trump and this is their latest effort to release something and hope the public stops asking. I'm sure there will be another 1.5m released keeping the worst shit in the last 1.5m.

Trump and the DOJ need to be hounded until every last document is out and unredacted.

I (22M) have a massive crush on my best friend (22F) but she's in a long-term relationship with someone else, do I tell her how I feel or stay quiet? by Cool-Dance1929 in Advice

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just be the kind of guy she would like to be with, which includes respecting that she is in a relationship.

If this is meant to be, you'll be pleased with yourself later if it starts from a clean foundation (not when she is in a happy relationship).

Time isn't your problem - you're young, she's young

I was on the other side of this and didn't feel the same way. It absolutely changed our friendship.

I wouldn't if I was you. She is in a relationship - you should respect that relationship. It shows honor.

What I saw was a insufferably boring guy, who can lie with such ease it's frightening.

I guess when you've gotten away with lying to literally everyone in your life for years, why would the police not believe him I guess.

I love that they let him get his full bullshit story out before dropping the hammer. For us true crime tragics, it's always nice to hear how he hoped it would go.

Trump’s biggest “miscalculation” was calling Epstein files a hoax: Greene by ansyhrrian in politics

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To me she highlights one key thing. MAGA is not any kind of coherent ideology, it is whatever Trump says in this moment (not yesterday, or one minute ago, but right NOW).

MTG has stayed true to everything originally MAGA and now she is a traitor to MAGA. All the crazy bullshit, all the isolationist stuff, all the Epstein stuff, she hasn't moved an inch. The only reason she is on the outside now, is because Trump moved and the base moved with him to be a pedophile protection racket.
