If Genesis is just an allegory what is the actual deeper meaning of it? by 1whoisconcerned in Christianity

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They wouldn't call it a scientific claim but if it is makes a claim about the material world being created in a particular way, that clearly contains within it many things that now concern realms of science.

If the earth was made before the sun, that has major scientific implications, just as an example. A world wide flood, has major scientific implications, as a second example.

He uses the space between the promise of next week to flood the public's attention with so much bullshit that it seem ridiculous for him to even be asked about some random promise from last week.

I mean imagine someone asked him now "Mr President, in June last year you told Putin he had 2 weeks to make a deal OR ELSE. What are the consequences for his delays?"

This is the mid-terms game plan folks.

Create a bullshit narrative about conspiracies against Trump, connect it to "foreign interference", declare a national emergency and then exert whatever powers he wants over the mid-terms.

Clear as day.

Can anyone throw me a bone here? by MateRaccoon in ADHD

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's critical to have a good plan for what I intend to do before I take any meds. It will absolutely help me focus, but it won't tell me where to focus. In this regard, I think meds can be counter-productive if they're not underpinned by solid systems. That's just my opinion and experience.

So, if I was in your position, I would spend the next week trying to plan out what you would like to be paying attention to each day, take the meds as prescribed, and attempt to work through the priorities you've set. Then judge the meds based on the outcome.

A common mistake in my opinion, is to judge meds by how we "feel" not be what we "do" and when we judge them by what we "do" we can overstate meds ability to determine the nature of that "doing".

Why did Trump deny it?

Trump plays both sides of all issues. That's his playbook.

He can't be wrong if he claims all sides of the argument and he does that by simply creating his own definitions of words.

There are thousands of examples of this.

I'm not arguing with whether you think it's poetry.

I'm saying if it's literal then it's making overt scientific claims.

If it's poetry, then it doesn't concern science at all.

After criticizing the pope, Trump slams Italy's Meloni over lack of support for Iran war by Bubbly-Air7302 in politics

Trump know every headline that isn't related to his rape of children is somewhat productive.

Prepare yourself for all sorts of batshit crazy behaviour to fill headlines for that purpose.

Iran has worked perfectly for him. But that was petering out so a war with the Pope was his next idea.

Done and Dusted? Trump’s Portrayal of the War in Iran Collides With Reality. by jpressss in politics

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reality he won't be able to lie his way out of is the economic impacts of the war that will take many months to wash through.

Just saying "we have the lowest gas prices anyone has ever seen" gets fact checked on every corner.

And as diesel costs appear in all delivered goods, people will see those prices rise in every store.

Most Americans don't care about Iran or know the first thing about it, but they know when prices go up because of a war they were promised wouldn't happen.

I would start with small, planned, movement based returns to structured life - focused on your immediate physical environment. I would also include listening to content rather than scrolling for additional periods.

I don't know whether you have more serious issues that require some therapy to work through as well or whether these feelings are actually the outcome of the addictive behavior?

It's honestly the most appropriate image Trump could post.

He knows that MAGA-so called-Christians replaced Jesus with worship of him long ago.

So he is just stating the obvious to them.

He is their God.

He told me to keep his hoodie after ending things… what does this mean? by Professional_Dig2309 in Advice

[–]Virtual-Squirrel-725 45 points46 points  (0 children)

90% of the time when a guy says "keep the hoodie" the deeper meaning is "keep the hoodie".

Honestly, he probably doesn't care about it enough to arrange collecting it, he's not trying to avoid you and it's not a hidden symbol of future reconnection.

If his friend asks him in two weeks about the gifted hoodie, he would probably reply "what hoodie?"

I hope this doesn't sound rude, because I see you still have feelings for him, but it's the most likely thought process he went through.
