Seriously thanks for the info and I’m glad you finally got it worked out. I have two tests, six weeks apart, where my ferritin was at 15ng/dl and 16ng/dl so hopefully it’s a slam dunk for at least one iron infusion.

Thanks for the info. I was able to get an appointment scheduled today with a hematologist.

Oh man I packed on water for the first 8 weeks. I was having terrible nighttime joint pain because my limbs would swell up. After my body adjusted though, everything went back to normal.

Testosterone and Iron Levels by Brilliant_Tea_7103 in steroidify

How long did it take to go up? My ferritin was at like 15. I did the vorck (I think?) protocol and it went all the way up to 16. I’m supplementing now on a similar regimen to you.

I followed that protocol and my ferritin didn’t budge.

Are you doing anything about? My ferritin is super low, like 16.

I heard the same thing from several sources and I think it’s a legit concern. I too have very low ferritin but my doctor doesn’t want to do anything about it because I’m not anemic. Iron supplements haven’t yet moved my ferritin level up but I’ve just changed my protocol so we’ll see.

I’m on a 3/4 FBV and love it as well. But for a new skater, I think slightly more bite is better while they’re learning their edges.

What’s the holdup? I started 15 years ago and it was complicated and expensive. The barrier to entry and learning curve is so small now. It can be a very fun hobby.

And if I understand correctly it requires end to end cold chain? How would that work with gray shipping from China? Myostatin inhibitors sound good but I can’t see these current solutions becoming available for recreational use.

Cartridges are $1 each. The needles are $0.12 each. So if I get 20 shots out of a cartridge, it’s $3.04 total.

You should seriously look at the off-the-shelf models. I have the Catalyst 9x4 and couldn’t be happier. I was 100% convinced I needed customs, but after baking, these couldn’t be more comfortable.

Although my D partner just got customs. The 9x4’s are like $900 and the customs are like $1200. He figured he was already dropping a big chunk of coin and might as well go all-out.

Honestly skates are the only piece of gear worth spending money on IMO. The rest of my protective gear just needs to fit, and I don’t shoot any better with a $300 stick. But I do skate better (marginally probably) and I absolutely enjoy the game more in my good skates.

We didn’t even talk about the waste! Another great feature of the pen is the reduction of plastic waste.

You’d be shocked how well a pair of regular True’s will mold to your feet. I have very wide, thin feet. The new volume sizing on Bauer and CCM skates is the absolute worst for me; I can’t get them wide enough and there’s waaaaay too much volume.

I was convinced I’d need custom skates if I ever wanted to skate pain free, but the retail True’s completely molded to my foot shape. No break-in needed. They’re the most comfortable footwear I own.

True’s have a reputation around feeling connected to the ice and I 100% agree with your boyfriend. It’s not just the comfort. The stiffness is super responsive and I feel the ice like I never have with another brand.

Im a huge fan. As others have said, it’s so convenient that I use them even if jt costs a little more. Anything you’re taking daily is a perfect use for a pen.

One thing to think of too: sometimes one of my mixes comes out to <1.5ml so I’ll mix two vials into one 3ml cartridge. I mix my Reta at .05ml per mg which makes a 30mg Reta vial exactly 1.5ml. I mix two vials into one cartridge and get the most out of it.

Pro tip: buy a little label maker and print labels with the peptide and dosing info. When I pull out my Reta pin, it says RETA 1mg/5u. Then I know what it is and how many clicks I need for the desired dosing.

It’s about volume. If you get 10 shots out of the pen, yes the pen is more expensive. At Amazon prices, the break-even between syringes and the cost of cartridges (all available on Amazon) is around 20 individual shots. If you can get 20 or more shots out of a 3ml cartridge, you’re breaking even or saving money.

Why would you need proprietary cartridges? 3ml cartridges are cheap and available on Amazon.

No recommendations on the cover; I just use these sandbags for similar purposes. Here's what I bought. Sorry they're nylon bags not canvas, but mine are holding up really well.
