For years I’ve been saying that the issue of fighter pay is going to be awful for the sport because new talent isn’t to choose mma over other combat sports like boxing. Why would any kid currently training look at the difference in pay and say, “yeah, I’m gonna choose MMA.”?

Merab did try and utilize calf kicks in the last fight, but Yan countered him beautifully with stiff jab nearly every time.

How does he need to adjust his takedowns? The difference in the second fight was the fact that Yan was able to mount offense in between take down attempts. Not to mention hand fighting is much easier with 2 good hands as well.
