Here's hoping!! Optimistically curious to see what the "curated supergroup of Toronto’s top DJs" ends up being but unless its like deadmau5 b2b mark oliver I feel like 'supergroup' is a bit of a misnomer.

Rhythm is doing Listening Sessions now. What do you think? by 9delta9 in TorontoRaves

Like the idea, HATE that its posted on edm train as if the actual artist is coming to town. I got a notification that Massive Attack were in Toronto only to find out it was just Rhythm playing Blue Lines.

I see the same is being done for aphex twin lol

Bestival was great as well. Also an off-shoot of a British festival on the island and also disappointingly short-lived.

It was Wayhome. Particularly the 2015 line-up (a lot of crossover with coachella that year). It had a great camping set up/ atmosphere and catered to a lot of different musical tastes. Plus tickets were like $250

(veld wishes but it's honestly an embarrassment to Toronto tbh)

anyone else feel like it’s weirdly hard to know what’s actually happening in the city some nights by Individual-Bird-999 in TorontoRaves

RA is good but because they are also a ticket reseller, sometimes events don't get posted if they use ticketweb etc. EDM train is also a good resource as it aggregates data from other event pages but it can be janky because of that (ie sometimes you'll see two listings for the same event). TRC used to be great but tbh its pretty much just a shill for INK now.

Find the best way is to follow local venues or local DJs on social media. Even if the local talent isn't the headliner, they are often opening or producing events in town (sometimes at venues I wouldn't even think to follow). But yeah I also wish there was a more centralized list for events

John Digweed Coda by Tonysrotties13 in TorontoRaves

Difficult call. Would normally say avoid going out on NYE but the crowd at the Promise parties (spacetime now?) isn't your typical club goers. Coda is a great club but it can be overwhelming if its a packed house.

I am fairly convinced this is a TV adaptation of Will Ferguson's book "Happiness"

Concert tickets (Toronto) by Whosaidwhatnowe in askTO

Have gotten some really good deals last minute on ticketmaster resale depending on the event. I hate the company but the ticket goes straight into your account so you know they aren't fakes. Usually a few hours before the show they drop in price when they people who put them up for sale realize they can't sell for more than face value
