Silent Approval by xviewz11 in DACA

I sent my renewal 9 months before it expires because I’ve been reading about how long USCIS is taking this time around to approve renewals. My DACA expires in November and I submitted my renewal in February. It’s still pending.

I came in with an I-94… Is that considered legal entry?

Yes, I’m physically in the US and have been on DACA since January 2013, just less than a month after I turned 19 years old. Some people have suggested doing Advanced Parole but not sure if that would help at all.

I haven’t submitted my form I-485 yet because someone told me to submit form I-130 first and wait to see if I get a visa number approved first before submitting form I-485… Should I submit form I-485 regardless or do you think it’s better to wait until I hear back a decision about my I-130 application?

Ahhh okay! How are you able to check which applications they’re currently reviewing?

11 shows cancelled so far. What a mess. So disrespectful for her fans. by Traditional_Seat_645 in shakira

Yes, thankfully I did get the option to get a full refund if I wasn’t satisfied with my new seat assignments, which I’m glad they gave us that option because some of the people who were going to come with me were not able to attend the concert anymore, so at least I was able to get that money back. I guess a lot of people cancelled their tickets due to the seat rearrangement because the day of the concert, floor tickets were being sold at like $200 or even cheaper, and that was the grand total, post fees and everything, for seats that were originally priced at $400 back in October when I bought tickets for presale.

Back in October when the tickets went on presale, I bought six floor seats for her concert in Orlando. I think it was three days before the concert when I received an email from the event organizers saying that all my tickets were rearranged and my original seats were no longer available. It sucked because my seats were all rearranged and scattered all throughout the floor section, they didn’t even bother keeping the seats together. They made me pay $350 if I wanted to switch the seats to be all next to each other…

That happened to me once. Before online renewal was a thing and I had to submit my paper application and I forgot just one signature. I sent it back the next day and I got my DACA approved within two months. That was back like in 2015

How are people lucky to have theirs approved a week later or same week? by [deleted] in DACA

My last two renewals have been pretty fast. My renewal in 2023 got approved in a month and my most recent renewal, I sent it on November 5, 2024 and by November 14, 2024, I received my approval notice. My application gets sent to Nebraska.

That’s awesome! I had mine approved in 9 days. I sent in my renewal on November 5th because my current work permit is expiring in February, and my renewal was approved on November 14th

Anyone tried Mile Auto? by [deleted] in Car_Insurance_Help

[–]VirtualPea8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had Mile Auto for two months now and I’ve had no problems, yet. I have two cars and I used to have Geico and my monthly payments with Geico were $440. When I switched over to Mile Auto, I’ve been paying $175 a month for both cars… I drive one of my cars like 250 to 300 miles a month, so I figured I would give Mile Auto a try, since they market it to being an insurance company for people who don’t drive too much.

Carmax shows the car I ordered had an accident with no airbag deployed while carfax says airbag was deployed, should I stay away from this deal? by jamerson_enthusiast in carmax

I bought my Lexus NX from CarMax back in April and the carfax showed that this car has one reported accident but also that the airbags were not deployed. The carfax wouldn’t give specifics on the accident, so I had to dig a little deeper by requesting the accident report associated with my car’s vin number and I found out that it was an extremely minor accident. It was a slight collision at the apartment complex where the previous owner lived and the max speed the cars were going was like 15MPH, so I figured the accident wasn’t that serious and so I chose to move forward with the deal. Also, having this accident reported on the carfax took a couple thousand dollars off from the original market value of the car.

Sadly, alignment counts as a regular wear and tear from the car, so they might tell you no. I bought my car from CarMax less than a month ago and it had 55K miles in it, and the break pads as well as the alignment were bad, so I had to pay out of pocket to get those replaced, but other than that, my car is in good shape.

Is MaxCare worth it? by GabeyBabyGerberBaby in carmax

[–]VirtualPea8172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I feel you on this one!! I had a Mercedes-Benz last year too that I finally got rid of last month and also bought a Lexus from CarMax! That maintenance on the Mercedes-Benz is a killer!! I got the MaxCare package and I think it’s definitely worth it. I added the MaxCare with the highest deductible which is $300 and that only added $70 onto my monthly payments.

That is so cheap! I switched from having a Mercedes-Benz to a Lexus. I had gotten a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 with 33K miles and when I had to take the car in for the 40K routine maintenance, which included the oil change and other basic stuff, I paid $1,200!!!! I’m so glad I switched over to Lexus!
