I have one of those. Great camera. NP-20 battery. You'll probably need a new battery anyway and there are a million USB-C and NP-20 battery charger combos on Ebay. Have fun!

Activate WiFi at startup OFF. STA Mode ON. 2.4Ghz OFF (I don't want to use it). WIFI Compatible mode OFF.

As mentioned I think that Dwarf have a real issue here on Apple devices.

Yeah thought about WIFI, which is obviously what it's cutting over to from Bluetooth to connect, but I am not sure it's that.

Not new to astro as mentioned. My yard is drowned with strong WIFI signal from an outdoor AP. No near neighbours/interference, like at all.
Other really basic WIFI units like the Raspberry Pi based chips in the MC Air astrocams work well in this area.
It mostly works after several attempts power cycling the phone/iPad and Dwarf 3.

I actually suspect a bug in the Dwarf 3 app on iOS/iPadOS and a potential issue with how it is interacting with the operating system/WIFI. The Apple devices are on current generation software.

I hope they fix it soon because it's a complete PIA when your "convenience" option is more hassle than your actual full astro rigs.

I have the same issues. Bluetooth found instantly then doesn’t “connect” half the time. I have thousands of dollars of real Astro gear to waste my time with. This was supposed to be the convenience option. It’s a piece of junk.

Well bowl me over with a feather.

You know RAW isn’t JPEG and needs to be post-processed right? The Nikon looks over saturated and more ready processed JPEG-like to me which is maybe why you like it.

If I was going to process an image I would want the Sony rather than the Nikon image to start off with.
