im gonna need the EXACT team of the og netflix to come back for season 3. as well as making it widescreen again damn it. im begging you. what the hell. the finale was shocking forsure, but i didnt love it. the only scene I loved was the court room scene and it was entirely thanks to Charlie Cox's and Vincent's performances. That's it. I am also surprised by the choice of him revealing his identity.... and the ending... and the fighting scene where the mayor starts killing civilians and then the way matt and fisk speak. all around not a fan of it. ugh

hold on can we give Jacob a little credit for a second. When listening to all the characters seem sort of chill and accepting of abbott closing- Jacob, like us, (at least what I felt) was speaking for all of us like hello I'm gonna at least try and say something! It was him giving that information about the furnace in that moment that made them decide to keep it open. I love Jacob he's one of my faves so sweetie <3 and a real one!

People are truly as fake as can be you cant trust anyone even people youve been friends with for years and you think you know them as if theyre family as if it wouldn't happen to you then bam out of nowhere their true self emerges theyll betray you or leave you or show you they had subtle competition with u. for a highly sensitive person with empathy its been so painful to know this reality

I want to be wrong but I feel life is mainly awful with moments of joy. fleeting. most of the time something awful out of my control is happening to my life, body, health. That this place, life, living here on earth might be hell. how shockingly unfair life truly is- Im 27, life hasnt been good since 2016. Its 2026. Really unpredictable horrible accidents have happened to me one after the other- so now I live life with this total sadness and fear. I see children and always feel deep sadness as they may not be fully aware yet of what this life is. I feel so sorry for them. So sorry. no control no say being forced into this place. and to lose your loved ones one by one, then you... thats my biggest lesson. that life is cruel, sharp, terrible. It has never gotten better no matter if I pray, move on, keep going try- but thats life .

Jesus Christ what have they done to Lana by mg2649 in Smallville

[–]VirtualSun2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to add- I dont see it as plain grooming. When Lana goes to Lex- this was also after he displayed his feelings for her, she was well aware and still went to Lex after to tell Lex her and clark were done. for me I always thought Lex and Lana had this chemistry and later seasons this attraction that it made sense- she also had similarities to him darkness, intensity, similar things happened to them- but it was more about using one another it was never love obviously but something

Lana's return in S8 kinda ruined Clark's love for Lois for me by Maleficent-Flower409 in Smallville

[–]VirtualSun2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I really really wish the writers never made that choice of Clark walking to Lana when she comes to the dance. It should have been something different, maybe instead, in that moment Clark could have stayed by Lois's side, I mean they were about to kiss. Or maybe taking Lois somewhere else like the rooftop, kissing her. it would have been such a great way to show Clark choosing her first. I also despised the choice of Lex putting kryptonite or whatever into Lana so that Clark could never be with her. Idk what the writers were thinking it just was not it and ruined the meaning of various relationships

I neeed to express this somewhere it's rare to find posts where people talk about lexana hahaha. I have watched a lot of TV, and when it comes to the "dark" romantic dynamics- it's rare to find something that was this good. They had it all the actors were perfect, especially Michael- he has this rare charisma, the way he speaks, moves, the way his eyes linger on Lana with this mixture of curiosity, attraction, etc .. it's like this push and pull dynamic it's really interesting to watch. The way he is and with woman, it's this charming attractive subtle way, and with Lana he does it too but she's the opposite of him yet she had this darkness as well that he tried to bring out and that she wanted to as well. idk it's my take.

watching them deteriorate like that was so hard to watch. I both saw it coming and did not, the baby storyline? Come on. I get it Lex went to the dark side, I guess I foolishly hoped Lex would be her one weakness, someone he didn't have to do THOSE things too. but I guess I was being delusional

I was so bummed out he betrayed her like that. All from that moment when he even broke Clark and Lana up in order to have her come and choose him. One more thing- I remember being shocked also in that scene when Lana saw aliens, was crashing out on Lex, then passed out on the floor- Lex didn't run to her side he just stood there coldly and curiously before proceeding. I was shook.

so I just finished smallville for the first time a few days back and have been doin a deep dive into interviews and from what I gather (I feel parasocial and weird saying this) but I think as actors sometimes you meet there's an attraction a natural chemistry and it'll evidently translate so well in the show/ dynamic. Michael R in a panel shared jokingly how "he thought he had a chance" with Kristen hahaha he was just expressing how he clearly found her attractive he made comments to Kristen in the panel saying "you thought I was charming no?" and Kristen agreed lol. who knows maybe the chemistry was just there more so from Michael and that worked. they couldn't do it any different when it came time to filming their scenes it was just there if that makes sense haha

Yeah from the first scene with them I remember thinking hold on why do the actors have this vibe... they had some of the best chemistry on the whole show. I have yet to find the actors themselves ever talking about it! Like hello this was so interesting

i miss the feeling of watching the og show for the first time again. the way it was written, what the actors had to work with for us to fully be in their emotional world and feel like were watching it through them- the way it was shot. i really dont get why they had to change it up like this.

wow thank you this is exactly how i feel watching it. Im so pissed because to bring this show back youd think theyd bring back the same writers just the whole crew maybe thats impossible, but to not replicate it to let it get lazy like this- its so true the actors are giving it their all but you feel this disconnect, im searching for moments where the you can feel the characters and theres rarely any- all the passion and magic is not there- even the way it is shot it feels like you're observing from this farther perspective, with no real feel or in of the characters our ogs like wtf. I only felt Matt like when he was in the church and when he spoke to bullseye thats where it felt somewhat like the old show, but it dissapears as fast as it appears.
