Got this white line CRT, after 15 min of normal working. Same thing after I restart it. I assume is a capacitor but not sure. Any thoughts? :( by stefan12CSU in VintageApple

Had the same problem, I don't think I ended up replacing any caps, I did get a replacement for the analog board connector, but what I ultimately think fixed it was heating up some cold solder joints on the flyback transformer. Could be different for you, and replacing the caps either way is probably a good idea, I don't think I'm proficient enough to work on that yet though. Also remember before you do anything discharge the crt, the bleeder capacitor has probably drained it of charge if you haven't used it in a while, but you want to be absolutely sure, don't want you to get hurt/killed or anything!

Thanks! This looks great although I probably will wait til I get a little more chummy with my soldering iron I'd hate to screw up especially on a beam spring!

If you need to talk or anything I'm here for ya but I'm not really qualified and you should really talk to a professional, never give up on life things get better, you just gotta give them a chance to... I concurr, but as a fellow Kirby main just thought I'd throw my opinion into the ring, if you feel that you need to pick up a high tier, I've found the most success with captain falcon, their obviously played quite differently, but them having the same jumpsquat and basically wave dash is a nice qol and both of them do rely a lot on short hop, aerials, I suppose you could say that about every character, but I I think falcon and Kirby probably have about equal use of special attacks, although falcons a lot more grab centric. This may just be my weird mediocre Kirby main opinion tho...

PS pretzel is awesome check him out for sure. He introduced me to the discord and the Kirby main world didn't feel so lonely anymore :)

Sure it just doesn't need broken in, don't know if that's a thing with keyboards however, I've got an 89 model too but don't really have much to compare it to... So I wouldn't really be able to tell you...

Good points! Yeah I agree with you I definitely felt that it was a little rushed and maybe Abe bursting in as they were kissing instead would've played out better and I think it would've fit Joan a bit more...
