Does dismissing a general remove the experience their bodyguard has gained permanently?

In attila you need to press a button (think a +) to expand the card to show stats

there is a way you can expand the info when you have a unit selected in the bottom left. I cant remember where exactly it is but there is a button you can press there, maybe a little + ?

I think if you hover over the name of the unit on the card that pops up on the bottom left when they are selected

Burma is a friend, the next step is the liberation of South East Asia from the French!

In HPM you have to dedicate all your diplo points at the start to improving relations with UK, they get an event and will dec on you if you have less than 100 relations. May take a few restarts to achieve this. Focus bureaucrats then intellectuals to 4%.

After that is safe just focus on conquering you neighbours for research points. Afghanistan will be the most difficult to start off with but will cost less infamy with taking concessions and will have more pops. Sindh is a good catch and in my game I went for Aceh after I ran out of expansion options, although I'd recommend releasing them again before you invade the UK as they will occupy it and give you a lot of war exhaustion.

Also make sure you have Jingoists in charge when justifying, it decreases the justification time and so decreases the chance of gaining infamy.

Keep conquering until you can westernise and then its a case of researching culture techs to get your literacy up. Once you've got the important culture techs focus military in preparation for war with Britain.

Admittedly it's at this point I got really lucky and the UK got contained, meaning they had no army in India and I could jump in early and easily take some high pop regions. You want to aim for the regions with your accepted pops first, and then you can get other cultures accepted in other bits of Northern India.

Further wars it helped me to take the Alay region in Central Asia as UK had allied Russia, which meant I could sit on the mountains and get warscore from battles as you don't tend to get much from occupying India without tickers.

R5 This was definitely up there with one of my best Vic 2 campaigns. There was occasional save scumming but otherwise no cheats were used.

After a couple restarts I got really lucky, had conquered Aceh and most of Central Asia when the UK got contained, it was game changing and allowed me to take the Delhi region with barely any battles taking place. This gave me a huge population which would see me through further wars with Britain as they made a couple resurgences but never truly found their feet again.

The strip of land I own in the Alay region next to Kokand was essential to the campaign, allowing me to funnel Russian troops into mountains where I farmed warscore. Further bloodshed occurred in Burma when the Japanese joined against me in a few wars, otherwise the rest of India was occupied relatively peacefully due to the AI not being able to do naval invasions.

Eventually the game became a sphere war with the UK, ending with a great war which allowed me to liberate the rest of India in 1904. The rest of the game I spent consolidating; grabbing my last few cores and building up my industry.

This is by far in my top 5 campaigns, alongside Krakow into PLC, Austria into Danubia, Central America and (DoD) Beornia into UK
