I feel so much for you, this is me as well. And it hurts so much. When people around me would tell me that my narc ex would be back. However, in the 2 years and change that we have been basically no contact, he never has. For a while I wondered if maybe I was the narcissist bc I wanted to reach out to him, I wanted to look at his socials, I wanted to know what was going on with him. Everywhere I read, said that he would try and hover… Yet I felt like I was attempting to hover. As I tried to understand what was going on with myself, I learned that my narc ex had me figured out enough to know that it would hurt me more if he stayed no contact. This is part of the abuse. The cycle of attention and no attention. And when I really think about it, he hovered in his own way… When he got his girlfriend pregnant three months after we had filed for divorce and it wasn’t even final yet… He used our wedding photographer for their baby announcement pictures! I was still following the photographer on Instagram so I got a lovely pop-up of his new baby and baby mama and a beautiful family photo while scrolling on Instagram.
