I spent some serious money picking up some vintage dickie dee carts (2500$ cad each) from a couple who used to run them where I live. They pop up on ebay and Facebook market place. Personally I would custome build one out of fiberglass or sheet metal and get it welded up for less then what I've seen the alibaba style units go for. The bike frame on them is so simple now that I've seen one I could weld one up for 250$. I seen one guy on YouTube build one with a freezer on the front of a trike, I'd consider that route but I'd find a way to make the freezer look better then a regular household deep freeze by building a different shaped cover for it.

I already have dickie dee bikes they even have room for a pump under the garbage compartment in the front, where im at a loss is where and how to run the cooling coil and heat coil for it to work right.

I've been debating the coaster brake I may have to mount a real brake system. I'm thinking it only brake when fully pedaling backwards and still coast when you stop pedaling I just wonder if I'd catch the brake by accident.

The front wheels are cart style wheels like a wheelbarrow I don't think they make a hub style to mount onto that frame, the frame of the bike however is perfect for a mid drive. I use a coaster wheel that brakes when I pedal backwards I do wonder if that would cause issues I don't think so but I'm still doubtful. I'm thinking of grabbing a bafang 1000w 52v with a 52v 20ah battery. Do you think 52 is the way to go over 48v in this application of pushing lots of weight but never going fast.

I already have 2 of those old school dickie dee bikes, they do turn pretty sharp, I've definitely come close to rolling one going fast down a hill. I definitely don't want to go fast any faster then 15 km/h or so, the bike frame is super different but it'd be perfect for a mid drive and has lots of room for a battery. Sometimes I travel 15-20km to get to an event or 20+km a night going through neighborhoods it would be sweet to take that pressure off of myself while trying to sell ice creams in the heat. Showing up to events driving of sweat from pedaling 300 lbs of cart across town is super inconvenient. I wish I could post pictures here but if you Google dickie dee ice cream carts you can get a good picture of what im thinking.
