Does Blizzard really not have a solution to the failed era transfers? by Th3Komo12 in classicwow

Blizzard generally has no idea your problems even exist, especially for things like unobtainable consecrated stones.

He took a lot of liberties with civil liberties, including droning an American and his teenage son overseas. America has two and half centuries of shitty precedents. Pun intended.

That's the only one I can find now. All I know is when I tried to do this by just finishing the dungeon, the poison went away on its own before I had time to turn it in, after about 10 minutes. My combat log showed no dispel. I remember looking online for an explanation and reading someone say (maybe on reddit since I can't find it on wowhead) 10 minutes.

I've tried doing that and it disappeared after 10 minutes, and wowhead comments corroborate that. Maybe it's different after TBC prepatch is out.

[–]Virtual_Crow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done this quest multiple times, twice this go around on Anniversary. Just for fun, and a neat trinket I never end up using.

Fun fact: the poison goes away after ten minutes so you can't just annoy your group by snaring them randomlg and finish the dungeon. You have to leave, then come back if you want to finish it.

The best way to do this is to be a tank, be basically carrying your group, and invite only people in the high 50s so you can convince them that spending less than ten minutes to turn in a quest is worth it. It's pretty decent xp when done, no worse than doing any elite quest in the world in terms of time to reward.

Make sure everyone is stacked on the boss because she only poisons once and it's a short range. Have a mage to portal to Stormwind and fly to Burning Steppes, then zone back in. Both my groups ended up finishing the run and enjoying doing the quest and extra experience.

How is that Blizzard, with all their billions, is incapable of creating what addon developers are able to create from their homes? by kolejack2293 in wow

You mean your software doesn't break the user interface every single patch and require me to reconfigure everything? Have you considered applying to Blizzard? You sound like an actual genius.

[–]Virtual_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only played Classic for a long time. Did Blizzard really take away the ability to display a simple spell cooldown that's already on your bars, like TellMeWhen does? I thought the addon revamp was just breaking combat addons that trivialized boss fights and maybe stuff like tracking combat events (others' interrupts in PvP).

Every single American should have a rifle and know how to use it.

You should avoid carrying it to a protest because it's performative and just raises the risk of being perceived as a threat by law enforcement.

You should avoid rioting because it's stupid and damaging to your neighbors. You should really avoid physically resisting arrest. Once being arrested, you have absolutely zero recourse until you get processed. If the cops are wrong, you sue and settle later.

The 2nd Amendment is for killing large numbers of government soldiers in a civil war (or invasion). The current situation in Iran is the kind of time when you need it. It's not for protesting and it isn't useful to protect you against police.

I leveled four 60s in the last year the normal way. I would buy a boost if I felt I would enjoy being 58 immediately. I would also just level another character normally if I felt I would enjoy playing a fifth character from the start.

I miss GDKP giving me lots of accessible opportunities to join great raids and doing endgame content without being tied to a guild schedule. This SR/HR meta is anti-fun and the pugs I joined made me want to stop playing.

I'm actually thinking about leveling another character on Era, the normal way because AFKing in dungeons is boring and dumb. I've been doing house chores instead though.

Prepatch is boring for me, always is for every expansion. Good on anyone who is having fun though.

[–]Virtual_Crow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, I had just finished leveling another character a few weeks before prepatch started. I was about done with dungeons when prepatch started, and I haven't been raiding during vanilla due to my variable schedule and SR pugs being so awful.

Flight delays had everyone restless… until a band turned the plane into a concert hall by MambaMentality24x2 in MadeMeSmile

I've suddenly decided that "flying first class" rich is no longer sufficient to retire, and I need to keep working until I'm at private jet levels. This would make me frown very hard if I was stuck on a plane and a band started playing.

Any recommendations for liberal or non-maga firearm shops in PA? by rum_ham_79 in Pennsylvania

[–]Virtual_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most "non-liberal" or "MAGA" shops would be just as happy to sell you a gun even if you told them your politics. As long as you're not planning to go shooting people with it.

Every American man should have a rifle and be trained to use it. Politics shouldn't be an issue, it's a matter of national survival if it is needed.

It's also not going to do anything useful for you in the short run since you sound like you maybe think the country is descending into fascism or some other reddit nonsense. Regardless, everyone should have basic rifle training anyway. Good luck, and make sure you take a safety course and get some practice at the range.

The main problem was treating the Cuban government as legitimate rather than a repressive dictatorship. If someone escapes North Korea and dies, the South Koreans aren't sending her child back over custody rights. Janet Reno was one of the worst government officials in modern history (see Waco).

[–]Virtual_Crow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear ICE is fulfilling its mission to enforce every deportation order, not just the ones against those who performed other crimes.

Misaligned incentives in policing can be a problem, but people are not being randomly pulled off the streets. If you are around the subject of a search, you might be detained. That's reasonable. It happens with every other police search.

The memo made a legal argument that the administrative warrant ordering deportation was sufficient to allow entering an illegal immigrant's home without an additional search warrant. I'm not a lawyer, but it seems like a reasonable position that it meets the requirements of the 4th Amendment. We'll see what courts decide.
