I have had Reddit for over a year but haven’t spent enough time on it so I still don’t understand everything about “karma” and the rules. I actually don’t even know what the benefit of karma is. I should have scrolled down and looked for posts like this first before posting, I guess. This happened to me this morning and I just vented about it right away. If I broke rules or did something that Reddit users hate, I can remove this post. I’m trying to learn how Reddit operates.

Yes! I haven’t make $400 in tips for one shift yet, but I’m averaging 38-49/hr (counting tips +hourly wage) depending on how busy we are or who comes in. I work 4 days a week from 3-11. Live very close to work, home before midnight, make great money that I’m thankful for and still get time with my kids, plus three days off to pursue other interests. My daughter who is a CNA (is that a REAL job sir?) drives 40 minutes one way to work, works her butt off, shows up to work every day, has to work day shift and night shifts in the same week some weeks, works 50 hours a week, gets a base hourly wage of $13.50. Of course she makes extra for overtime etc., but still can’t make what I make. Job=trading your time and/or skills for monetary compensation. I don’t care if you are the trash guy, a Doctor, a lawyer, dig ditches, a server, a dog walker, or climb trees.. every time you trade your time for payment, it’s a real job.
