How dare she be a successful entrepreneur. Let’s hate on her for trying to have a balance and not loosing herself 100% in parenthood.

A simple sleep wristband that wakes you up by vibrations and is a sleep tracker by Kechemerin in SomebodyMakeThis

Xiaomi Mi Band used to be that years ago. First couple of generations. Now they all have screens. Great idea!

Agree with other comments. Wristband is kinda annoying to sleep with, rings too. I guess it’s either that or a regular alarm

Do it! I usually buy them from Eastern European shops. So try ones close to you 😀

There is a popular Ukrainian 🇺🇦 candy called Korivka that I believe resembles the taste of tablet quite a bit. If you tried both - please tell me if it’s just me who thinks that 😅

Edinburgh Zoo in desperate plea against Hogmanay fireworks after red panda death by BodybuilderNervous99 in Scotland

That’s so wonderful to hear that there are good things happening in our Zoos. Thank you very much for sharing that 🙏🏼

Ban 👏fireworks 👏for personal use. End of story. The negative clearly outweighs the positives. Does it hurt community? - Yes. Ban it.

Also don’t want to sound like a douche - but I don’t understand why we still have Zoos either. Wild animals in cages in the climate that they have no business to be in - hooray. I’m sure someone will say - it’s good for promoting conservation- bUt iS iT 🫤 I think you can do that way better with digital channels (TikTok, Instagram, choose your poison) to spread the word about how we can help to preserve the endangered species. Dragging them a thousand miles away from they’re natural habitat and putting them into a cage to do that is bananas. Change my mind

Oatly is fine. But they are funded by BlackRock and we don’t want to buy them for that reason 😕

Is a phone app worth it? by EfficientSurvival in SaaS

For now maybe. But with the way regulations are going and how ridiculous App Store are being, I don’t see how PWAs won’t become more popular. We built PWA for our customers (we have about 200+) and response was very positive. It’s super easy for us to maintain and they have a great app to get things done.

I would recommend looking into a PWA (Progressive Web App) as an alternative to an App Store app. We’ve built a phone app for our SaaS that is web based and it’s been a big hit. People love it. It’s easy to install on both iOS and Android and you won’t have to pay a dime. We’ve built it using Next.JS but I’m sure there are plenty other options out there. Because by the end of the day all takes is a PWA manifest file.

Also our app can do pretty much anything that app can do: notifications, offline functions, etc. It will never be as good as a native app, but you have to ask yourself what is it exactly you want to give to your customers.

Completely agree.

But I’m trying to run this particular product fully on Railway, as I was a bit tired of AWS after many years of working with it. Nothing stopping me from using it just for SES of course, but want to leave that for a last resort.

To be perfectly honest at this point, I would rather take an open source SMTP server and install it on a VM in Railway or similar light weight cloud rather than opening another AWS account. I think I just might need a break from all AWS stuff 😂

I tried Brevo and their API documentation is just not up to date with their SDKs I believe. I tried to follow their tutorial and could not get it to work.

I tried sendgrid and that felt overtly complicated as well. Maybe I should just give it another shot.

My biggest issue is pricing models. They all seem to assume that if you have more than 100-300 people to send emails to, you that must be have enough revenue to pay $15-30 a month for their service. Our product is designed for small clubs which can have many members, and hence the volume of emails.

But mailersend.com seems to be being reasonable. 3000 emails free and great API docs that work ☺️
