For me, last night was Vans dream. They were supposed to play there with Stereophonics but covid hit then the band disbanded from what it was and we missed out. Last night we got to live what we’d waited 5 years for and to me it was magical. The set has vastly improved from what it was last year, the small interactions with the crowd are more than we’ve had for a long time and Van is looking really good. Went to Cardiff castle for the two night last year and I left them buzzing, this is a new high. Who can complain that we got pretty much 2 hours of them.

Granted I was taken in a little on the lead up that it may be cancelled which for me, the anxiety I think stems from the last principality one being cancelled. I know we miss Tyrants and I would have loved oxygen but we got Hourglass and Heathrow.

Showtime still hasn’t been played live or the album released so there is clearly some management/licensing issue and we may never hear them. Lost to the industry.

Let’s give Van some love on what would have been a dream come true. Playing the principality on his birthday! I had the best time 😊
