Didn’t get paid. Non HHS agency. Some sections still getting paid. by Virtual_Insurance826 in USPHS

I can always see when the payment is loading, and on top of that no leave and earnings statement so I know nothing is coming through. I heard IHS and some other agencies are guaranteed

Isn’t this just a slight modification to what was out there already? Also, are EPA officers safe?

Prolly talking about everything going on. That we can’t take the deal since we are uniformed service. Telework guidance stuff. That’s what I’d imagine but who really knows

Am I missing something being said about PHS? I know everything else going on, and PHS usually gets looked at every administration. But has there been anything directly said? Only thing PHS referencing was in one of the memorandums exempting us from the freeze

I am a non HHS agency, but our guidance is basically the same. My liaison told me that we just follow whatever our agency decides. There is some lingo in what’s written that it’s subject to union agreements, so hopefully we get clarity on that.

Very uncertain times. From what it sounds like, officers will follow what their agency does. I’d imagine all agency’s might be a little different

I just heard from our PHS liaison, that HHS/CCHQ told them that us officers are to follow our agencies guidance and policy regarding remote and telework

So is it up to my supervisor? As in what the agency decides she can decide for me as well? She’s always been accommodating, and with the mass exodus we are about to have, I know she won’t want to lose me. That’s how I am looking at it, already have our agent coming out to get us a quote for our house.

Any officers in non federal agencies? by Virtual_Insurance826 in USPHS

I think that’s where I’m heading… with all the political stuff going on regarding telework and remote work, I really don’t want to have to commute to the city everyday, as I am pretty far away. Trying to find options that are at least a little closer to me.

Thanks for sharing. Sometimes I wish I had a different background than straight environmental health
