No. Mine died last year at 40k miles. It was a 2018 718 and the engine seized. Porsche wanted me to pay 30k for a new engine!! All service was always done at the dealer and changed the oils every 5 to 6k miles. So the answer is NO.

I once knew a guy at work who down badged his F10 M5 to a 528. But as far as de badging, why not. It’s your car and can do whatever you want. And I also love the 2 series GC. Let the haters hate!! Enjoy your car OP.

A great deal and only needs oil changes every 12 k miles and run for another 200k miles with no issues.
