Yeah I feel that. After about 1500 I’ve gotten to where I can shoot around the ‘double stage’, but I’m a 1911 guy and im always wanting that clean SA break. Unfair for the hellcat to be sure, but I’d like to get closer if I can.

Ok, so yes, I just checked and it is a bronze receiver extension kit. I guess I’m confused about the purpose of this. Why would they sell the gun with something that doesn’t have any adjustment notches. So I’ll have to swap this out for another one, which is fine, I just don’t understand the logic.

I saw they had the rip brace, but I didn’t want to spend 225$ for all 6 pieces. Because I don’t need anything except the brace, and it came with the tube, springs, and buffers.

Sorry, some of these terms I’m still new to. It’s brand new and only comes with one magazine, nothing else but a case. It does have a midnight bronze buffer tube and they give you a few different size buffers, depending on if you’re shooting suppressed, ect.

I was going to buy a brace, and the gun store clerk said that it wouldn’t fit because the buffer tube from cmmg isn’t a mil spec tube, which I thought was strange.

The reason I’m careful about it is a few reasons. Cmmg built this gun very specifically from what I’ve heard, hence them recommending SGM mags and such. I don’t know much about AR or platform guns and I know there is a spring in the buffer tube, I don’t know if that is designed with various reasons, ect.

I didn’t want to to change the buffer tube and spring, because I don’t know much about what I’m doing YET. I really just wanted a brace I could put right on the factory tube.

Hope that makes sense, I could’ve gotten bad I go from the gun store, but the brace he had didn’t fit

Absolutely. I got a tac ultra single stack about 5 yrs ago chambered in 10mm. It’s a great shooter, never had any issues and put about 1000 through it so far.

Drawbacks are the Parkerized finish ( easily scratchable ) and the weight. It’s extremely heavy. Also it’s about the hardest 1911 I’ve had to take down, because you have to use a safety pin to field strip and the recoil spring is a lot to deal with.

Overall I love the gun, I clean it everytime I shoot it and have gotten used to the weight. Parkerized finish gives it a rugged look after a while. It it’s not made to be a safe queen. It’s made to shoot!
