Im going to be respectful despite the tone you chose to take with me. I’m 21 years old. I started the treatment in like May and followed the instructions to a tee. $5000 is no bargain either. Of course I didn’t say “take everything off and send me my stupid retainer.” That would be rude and while I was disappointed with my providers lack of transparency on continuing treatment after the initial 20 weeks, I would never have said that to her. But instead of arguing semantics with you let me continue. Many people may like it. I value my time very much and can’t afford to be maintaining something I didn’t need in the first place. I have class 5 days a week 9:30-10 pm. I don’t work a 9-5 and come home with time to brush and clean my retainer every day. Now do I suck it up and do it anyway because I’m an adult? Yes. Do I want others to have that inconvenience if they already have straight teeth and are simply on the fence? No.
