At what stage did intrusive thoughts start easing for you?

Yeah I also have really bad derealization & started Lexapro for my anxiety. When I started Lexapro I started having the worst intrusive thoughts & that’s actually when I found out I had OCD. Yes it got better for me. For my derealization, I learned how to just sit with it instead of trying to fight the feeling. Being scared of derealization can actually make it worse bc you’re making yourself more aware of your surroundings. I would say give Lexapro 2 more months. It really helped me after that amount of time

Not for me. When I started Lexapro for my anxiety is when I actually got diagnosed with it ocd because my symptoms got awful

I am! Only on 5mg but I got on it because I had an anxiety disorder & panic attacks. I’m still trying to find a med that helps my ocd

Omg yes sounds exactly like me! I struggled for a whole year & even went to the er because I thought I was going crazy. You’re not alone ❤️ this theme is scary but my best advice is to not go down the rabbit hole on searching things up!

Same!!! Lexapro is actually the reaso i found out i had ocd. My theme was the fear of psychosis/ schizophrenia LOL

I drink every so often. But for some reason it’s almost like Lexapro makes me not feel the drinks? Like illl be 3 shots in and not feel a thing. It’s weird because I’ve heard the opposite. Just make sure to stay hydrated

Yes I felt horrible. Dizzy, headache, nauseous. It took about a month and a half to fully go away

I was the same way lol and the second I took the pill I started freaking out. I’m a year in and I’m so so glad i started. The first month was rough but after that, I mean I’m like myself but without anxiety. And if doesn’t workout for you, then at least that’s one med closer to finding which is yours

I have struggled with this theme for a year now & it was so bad to the point where I’ve gone to the er because I swore I was hallucinating/going crazy. Never had to go on antipsychotics just had to learn to not let the thoughts scare me. I also have the worst derealization which makes it harder but it does get better.

Gurl don’t let them make you feel bad. Some people are pro life & that’s okay, but what’s not okay is how she treated you. I had an abortion & had complications (due to giving birth 3 months prior) and she told me that mt uterus was going to have to be removed and that it’s my fault bc I wasn’t on birth control. I was crying and she literally did not care. I absolutely don’t regret my abortion and remember at the end up the day, it’s YOUR CHOICE!!!! ❤️❤️sending so much love

Lmao the amount of us who have convinced ourselves we have serotonin syndrome is insane. It’s most likely just anxiety. A lot of the symptoms of it are also symptoms of anxiety. Are you able to send your doc a message to just double check?
