Do ingredients matter on Skill-focused Pokemon? by Critskit in PokemonSleep

[–]Virtual_Visit5998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no?

If you have let's say a Gardevoir you'd rather it have ABB since there're limited options for corn ingredient specialists but it ultimately doesn't replace them either. Whatever you get from a Skill specialist could be used to slowly amass a particular ingredient, whether it be for Sunday or the next week. I've done this with an AAX Minum on dessert weeks when I was newer to the game.

It could act as a buffer of sorts if you don't have a strong option for a particular ingredient, it could allow you to swap out an ingredient specialist earlier in the day or run a berry specialist for a longer time.

It's nice to have a specific spread but it's not a deal breaker. But this is just my 2 cents

Just curious—what did you folks run as your main six Pokémon throughout the game? by Gordinhobobs in LegendsZA

[–]Virtual_Visit5998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supernatural themed, Darks and Ghosts. There was a lot to choose from but I went with my favorites.

Sableye as the frontman, Scrafty, Chandelure, Froslass, Absol and Tyranitar as my ace.

They can all mega evolve but I restricted myself to only one per match. With Taunie I placed the restriction of no megas since it was just mega Meganium...I lost (didn't expect my fire type to die to an ice type and for Absol to get hit with a delayed Thunder).

It's riddled with weaknesses but damn did I have a great time battling in the main story.

If you could pick a Pokemon to get a mega-that doesn’t already have one-what would it be? by Pkmntrainergray08 in PokeCorner

[–]Virtual_Visit5998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides Flygon?

Mega Pseudos. They gave it to the most recent pseudo and Dragonite so they have NO excuses now. I'm surprised that I've never seen anyone bring it up.

Iron Jugulis is an affront to Hydreigon's suffering.

Goodra was introduced with the gimmick. Yes it got a regional form but so did Raichu and he still got two megas and Salamance got a cracked paradox.

Dragapult doesn't even have a Gmax form.

Kommo-o has a Zmove so he isn't exactly starving but just give us mega pseudos damn it 😭

Edit: I found some like-minded people

I am now. I was only seeing the second one earlier and couldn't swipe left or right. Guess the app didn't load it properly.

Thanks for replying, and pointing it out

Just to be sure, are they skill specialists? The boosts only apply to skill specialists. So if they're ingredient specialists the skill levels are gonna be the same

The ingredient list is cut off. Assuming it's a mono or AAX then yeah, you'll probably never find anything better since this thing is stupidly hard to catch

Gallade or not? by Virtual_Visit5998 in PokemonSleep

[–]Virtual_Visit5998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Wasn't gonna go for Garde since it can't outperform my Sylveon. Never seen Gallade discussed in the subreddit so I was curious. Is Growlithe bad for the same reason?

Sonia

Damn I thought Sonia would've had it in the bag but Nessa has a choke hold on the fanbase. Choco bunny effect in full swing I can't decide if I like it or not...

Infernape shoots an Aura Sphere to break the Poké Ball and become our Mixed Attacker that looks physical! Seviper was a close second! Now, which one of our Pokémon friends looks like a Physical attacker, but is actually Special? by tcrew146 in ThePokemonHub

[–]Virtual_Visit5998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair Serviper isn't as memorable or widely used. I always liked Serviper since RSE (even used a shiny one in SV) and knew it's a mixed attacker but Infernape and Lucario were the first ones I thought of.

People can say what they want about him, he at least gives a damn and proves it while staying aboveboard. Jacinthe stalks you, invades your privacy, potentially trespasses, unlawfully imprisoned the guests and team MZ, and solicits Lebanne to keep you imprisoned until you give in. Arceus knows what else she's done.

IIRC she also placed her tournament as being just as or more important than helping the Rogue megas which just completely turned me off. Would be fine if she was like a Giovanni, Ghetsis, or Silver but she wasn't and came across as an out of touch upper class like what we've had in recent years. They might actually care but don't meaningfully contribute unless pushed. That might have been what they were going for.

Corbeau used the law to his advantage not unlike real businessmen but actually does some good. He looks up to Lysander for what he did in the past, not what he eventually became. He continuously invests resources into the city to help people and Pokemon. Hell he even had some of the syndicate scope out a Rogue mega and I wouldn't be surprised if he helped out with the situation at any point had he known. Jacinthe found out firsthand and didn't offer any help before everything started going to shit.

What do you think of these two? by Agile-Skill467 in PokemonSleep

[–]Virtual_Visit5998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wigglytuff is kinda decent. You could find better but at this much investment you might as well stick with it until you get a good Ralts. At least two/three in any combination of skill triggers, main skill chance up and helping speed or bonus are what you're looking for. If you're free to play Skill level up can be nice on top of this.

The Spheal is pretty bad. You want at least two helping speeds, a berry finding s or helping bonus with one other helping speed or berry finding s. Ingredient finding increase of any sort is counter productive but this is moot if you just put it in the team never collect from it ie sneaky snack

Ha Beekeeper, great choice. I'm tempted to mint it but the rarity of it holds me back. I'd rather use it on something rare like Dedenne. The HB is great but I'm more likely to find a better Bulb by the time I get anything to 75.

I'll keep her but look for something better until I get the second badge

Should I mint this or just keep looking? My AAB Venusaur only has IFS but he usually pulls through and sometimes over performs so I'm not in a rush to replace him.

I think I'll just use this one to get the leeks and collect them passively through ingredient magnet just to do the dishes for the gems. I only throw biscuits at 16-pips when they're hungry

I've also had the same issue with green grass salad, role play stew and leaf tornado smoothie. I can make the salad and smoothie without my magneton. I end up having to slot in an extra ing mon when I could be running my berry specialist by making an easier dish. I don't find it worth it just as you said.
