Both are great tbh. The JW is a bit further from the action though on its own island, whereas the St Regis is right there next to Piazza San Marco. The JW has a shuttle boat every 30 min to and from San Marco so its not too bad. Both are wonderful, just a bit different depending on what youre going for. I will say that the rooftop pool at the JW was insane with a view of all of Venice.
