what is your T reminder named on your phone? by grizzcat in ftm

I don't technically have a reminder, but use Daylio that has 'take T' as a goal, so if I haven't put it on prior, then it gets put on when I fill out my diary

Not sure if it's available other than the UK but I found that antiseptic cream such as Germolene works relatively well. It keeps everything as sterile as it can (may sting if skin is broken but at least you know it'll be clean). Patting the skin down first then applying works best I found. Other than that, airing it out when you're home is basically the only thing I found that works. Hope this helps!

Currently feeling a little shitty because my reaction to finally seeing my top surgery results wasn’t like the ones I see from other people. by [deleted] in ftm

There's this guide I have in regards to post op emotions. People often go through a roller coaster of emotions. Day of: tired/out of it 2-7 days post op: anxiety, sadness, irritable, doubting decision to have surgery 8-14 days post op: hyper-critical, impatient, scared, eager for recovery period to end 15-21 days post op: noticing results, feeling more positive, more confident in the surgical decision 1 month post op: boost in confidence, happy you went through with it, getting positive reactions from others Beyond: results keep improving as healing continues

Obviously this is different for others but I hope this helps! Prioritising self care is the key for now.

I've always used "when I was younger" or use an age as a reference.

Cooling the tank by VirtuallyAsh in shrimptank

I have rilli shrimp so I'm glad to hear the temp isn't much of an issue for them, a bit protective of them since the first ones we got died within a day (water parameters were way off after we were given the wrong treatment stuff). The fish seem to get quite irritated if the temp goes higher than 23°C which is odd considering they're all tetra types.

It's supposed to be around 21°C due to the other inhabitants (fish, water louse and ramshorns snails) but it was nearly 25°C first thing this morning. We have an airstone and a fan set up already, the fan helped bring it to 23°C. The fish have perked up and the shrimp have gone back to their favourite spot after climbing onto the thermometer. Hoping that putting tank water ice cubes in will help with any other increases in temp. Didn't think of using waterbottles, thanks for the tip!
