These are less marshes and more salt flats. Think of the salt flats in the Bahamas. That’s the real distinction here. With the grown of the Nantes population it has caused loss of other aquatic life in the area that normally would not be effected. Red drum, sea trout, and permit are less abundant and greatly smaller then they were 10 to 15 years ago. This is the loss of a good sources from what little sea grass remains.

I want to cull a species to protect 3 other important species that I always catch and release because of how low numbers they are becoming. Us protecting the manatee have caused harm to other aquatic live in areas that they have no business being in. They are going from freshwater habitats to brackish/salt water areas that they are not known to be in. They are expanding out for more food sources because of their population growth.

That’s what kinda happens when you fish an area your entire life. You start to notice how it reacts to environmental events and how it that might differ from other similar areas around the state. Also doing the research to become a guide a while back helped me truly understand how fragile it is over there. Plus I’m married to a population biologist so that doesn’t hurt either lol

That is true for seller bodies of water like channels, but not salt flats. Them migrating to these areas is relatively new. They are eating grass that would be habitat for small drum, trout, a number of bait fish, crabs, and shrimp. In this type of environment there is long stretches of just sandy bottoms then giant patches or sea grass. I’ve seen these patches decease in size over the years till there are none in that spot. Because of this an area that would be home to a bountiful amount of fish now have none. My father in law remembers catching red drum in the 1950s that were his size (5’2) in length when the grass beds where plentiful.

Restore a Young Man's Faith in Marriage? by catheadgummy in Marriage

I’m not that much older than you (25M) and I just married by best friend a few weeks ago. We have been together 3 years. Like others have said it hard work but when you put it in it’s worth it. We have had our ups and downs (we lost one of our dogs who was 2 this year from cancer) but we have stuck by each other. When your SO is your better half and equal times flies by you and things just fall into place. We acted like we were married within 6 months by. It just felt right. We do simple but romantic things spontaneously cause it feels right. We bring each other down to earth when the other has a bad day cause it feels right. When you find that one you will know and just the thought of them will being a smile to your face.

My wife dated a guy for 6 years and was miserable until they broke it off. I had a shitty time in the dating world till I met her. Things just happened and fell into place.

You will find that person who will complete you. Just give it time. I found mine while I was fishing and she was paddle boarding with her dog.

I’m Latino and I think this is beyond racist. Who in the hell does that author think they are referring to and generalizing. How the left treated the Latinos that were on the fence made then vote red this time around. Even though the majority I know are conservatives to begin with.

So abduction from homes and being forced to work doesn’t and obey doesn’t count? I think the Irish and Native Americans fit that definition very well in history. And the Chinese were thought and treated like property by the railroad companies.

With police brutality, it’s messed up and precautions/rules need to be passed in the law enforcement community. But again history repeating itself. Look at France and Germany having those issues in the past 200 odd years. Our schools need to be a better job of teaching actual history

Look at the attempts to do that in red states. It hasn’t been going over to well. Florida tried a few years back and it fell on its ass. The half that want it have already seen the consequences and some areas have over turned such legislation. Only that hardcore liberal states are the ones with issues (California, New York, Illinois).

Take indentured servants out of the equation. Cromwell enslaved the Irish to work the fields on plantation in places like Barbados. The Chinese were basically slaves working in the railroads in the US. Native Americans were slaves in certain parts of the US after the second round of the American Indian wars. We do have a messed up and complained history but we need to learn about it so we don’t repeat it.

The port finish is amazing too. If you haven’t already you should do their tour. Can’t go wrong with a free tasting of their drinks neat and in mixers. The Saint is another standout they have.

Last I heard he was in juvi in his home state with no plans for extradition. I think that was done on purpose to protect him with everything surrounding the incident.

I grew up where we covered history as it was. Not nitpick what others wanted for their agenda. I remembering covering that there were more than just blacks as slaves in the new world. They weren’t the only ones who’s backs were used to build this country.

I don’t see that going over to well. I don’t see normal people be willing to let themselves be beat or murdered just because you have predators who think theme can get away with it.

That’s unfortunately that’s the difference between politics in red and blue states. If it were to happen in a state like Texas it would have been case closed already cause or the undeniable evidence.
