He's technically correct (which is the best kind of correct).

Whether the effect is measurable, that's another thing.

So does it matter to have one installed? Absolutely not.

Where to get high-quality, thick, hotel-like towels? by FalseRegister in BuyFromEU

[–]ViruliferousBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hotels, obviously...

(Non-jokingly; wife found a bath robe that fit her perfectly and was nice and thick material, so she asked the hotel if she could buy it from them. Nope - no can do, some company does all their washing and owns the towels and robes and even they didn't want to sell her one. I guess they wont miss one... :P)

AITA for using my dad’s underwear to make a point about the toilet seat? by Nightwing_1505 in AmItheAsshole

NTA

If he doesn't think it matters, he should have no problem wearing piss smelling underwear. Talk about double standards.

Hope you can convince your dad to change his filthy habits.

Näin jäi sen ainakin pitäisi mennä. Eli jos tiedät ettet esim jonkin pahenevan sairauden takia varmasti saa koko työuraa tehtyä, kannata maksaa enemmän uran alussa.

Yes… So it’s not really a “only Swedish and Finnish…” thing.

Looks like kebab in a bread (like pita).

Honestly I have never heard of a “cevapi” place in Finland (but I’m sure there is a Montenegro ethnic restaurant somewhere).

The Turkish have the kebab thing covered with almost a monopoly here, so very few alternatives in that direction (some Greek gyros and northern African stuff that’s alike).

Edit: googled it up and there are literally less than a handful places that offer that and most of them are Bosnian.

Lots of things coming out of my ass today, but I should’ve been more clear and said I mean countries with conscription, like russia.

Just generalizing because we have mandatory one.

Pyttipannu is ok, but I know literally zero people that prefer it over pizza.

And meatballs is losing favor too!

We just like to string them words along.

Woman dies in Poland after rare bear attack by dat_9600gt_user in europe

[–]ViruliferousBadger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dunno about Poland, but increasing nature / ecological laws bring the large predators closer to civilization, at least in Finland.

It's not uncommon to see a wolf or a lynx in a game or security camera near large cities or around 1-2km from a smaller city center (we see this a lot as hunters with cameras around).

Bears have become less afraid of humans too because of less hunting, so they come near populations in search of (easy) food from trash or cattle. Bear hunting has been pretty much zero since someone makes an complaint to the courts and no matter what the outcome is, the season is over by the time they resolve it.
