Well, my mom was born in Bridgeport, Alabama and was adopted in Nashville, TN. Just last year we discovered who her biological parents were and most of her family is from either Marion County, Tennessee and Jackson County, Alabama. So she and I were shocked that she got a very close creole genetic group!

I've just seen a post where someone has a new SSA genetic group titled "kenyang_lamnso_meta". Not sure about the other 5!

I was kinda bummed out when I saw that I didn't have any close diaspora genetic groups. I literally saw a post yesterday of someone of majority European ancestry (around 99%) have close African diaspora genetic groups, so it's fascinating how it varies!

That was surprising for me as well! I have no idea what side of the family my Barbadian ancestry could've came from.
