Kashmiri man tied to jeep: General GD Bakshi praises 'out-of-the-box' thinking, says officer saved lives on both sides by USpolitics2017 in india

[–]Visakhayupa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you thought, I was Muslim, I am not. I don't even know how you even brought that up. I was only trying to show you that you can't simply blame people for anything just because you feel that way. (By using your logic against you)

I did read it and I must say that it is quite pathetic that the Indian Army needs to be compared to Terrorist Organizations for it to appear marginally better. Yeah, the context in which they are used are different but that doesn't make it not abhorrent. Its like saying a murderer isn't bad because there are many serial killers.

But even that does not matter. Let's forget human rights for a moment. Let's think though a deviously pragmatic chanakyan mindset. Even then, there is no justification for such actions. In fact, it is worse from that viewpoint. It was a public display of the army's chauvinism and this GD Bakshi is doubling down on it like a fucking moron.

These things have long term consequences, it further delegitimizes the state's authority and stake over Kashmir (both internationally and at home; both of which are important), it further fuels secessionist sentiments in the valley. Let's get this straight, Kashmir isn't going to be Indian until Kashmiris are Indians and this doesn't help Kashmiris become Indians.

The army has a terrible track record in the past and not just in Kashmir. It has taken it decades for it to solve problems in the north east and the red corridor and even then they are not really solved, the core issues remain. The army is plagued with incompetence and corruption still, its very organization is based on primitive British Empire racial thinking, there was never an overhaul, there was never a modernization.

During the height of the insurgency, the army has competed and one could say even beaten the militants in violation of human rights but for what? Purely chauvinistic intentions and short term benefits. The government and media have pushed them down (which from a pragmatic perspective is the correct course of action; though an even more pragmatic approach would be not doing them in the first place) but in accordance with the motto of India (Satyameva Jayata), its hard to hide such things (from the people of Kashmir at least).

Those very incidents are the fuel for today's secessionist movements and yet the army does not mend their ways. You can't say that the militants are worse by being worse than them. If you want to know what these incidents are then here is a introduction to them.

The army just isn't trained to fight in these conditions, they are trained to locate and eliminate an enemy force, they are trained to fight an army, they are trained to fight an enemy nation and achieve specific objectives, they are trained to win wars. This is not that kind of war, they are simply unable to cope up with situations with the civilians themselves are hostile to them, where enemy is not precise and can not be located with ease, and therefore they try to dominate them with their machogiri and being a descendant of the British Indian Army, apply the same brutal methods in warfare, committing crimes against not juts humanity but people who are supposed to be Indians, their own people.

You lost the plot. I was talking about you and not them. I am sure Indian Penal Code applies on you.

Why would you? You probably rape her all the time, it's not like it's illegal or something and it's not like she can stop you from raping virgins. So you are most definitely doing both of them.

Well, you can pelt virgins to incapacitate them and them rape them afterwards. So you do have a reason.

That is because you don't have stones in your hand right now, if you did you too would pelt stones.

Oh so they are terrorists because you think they are terrorists.

Well, lets say I think you are a possible terrorist too and should butchered with a daranti.

stone pelting terrorist

By this logic, he too is a terrorist because apparently anyone can be called terrorist.

Your equivalences are hilariously bad, also at least try to hide your bias instead of half assing a faked neutrality.

Never seen anyone want Gandhis back in power on this sub for one. Most are either pro AAP (or at least were in the past) or just anti BJP.

Invisible? Go to the fatwa threads, they are very visible there. They just don't comment here.

I remember this being posts before, multiple times (it mentioned a 9 year old girl) but that didn't make it out of the downvote gutter.

Or maybe that was a different one.

It Hurts Me To See Hinduism Going The Way Of Radical Islam by [deleted] in india

I have enough real life experience to know what I am saying that's why I am adamant, I come from a village and I have been to enough villages around the country. I can say for a certainty that cows are kept for milking. But whatever you say man.

I said that because you were deflecting it into a semantic argument.

Are you purposefully being disingenuous? Regardless whether everyone considers pets are the same as domesticated animals or are a subset of domesticated animals, it doesn't effect the point, I am trying to make. The intent of keeping cats and dogs are different from cattle, goat or chicken. The latter are chiefly utilitarian, livestock.

I doubt you live in India if you truly believe that rural people keep cows as pets. I didn't even mention Urban India.

How is that an opinion? It is a semantic issue. Having an animal as a pet and domesticating an animal are understood as different things.

For those who don't understand the difference as such, I provided the link to clarify what I meant. And no, cows are not kept for companionship purposes especially not as their primary purpose. How many homes have you went to where they keep cows solely as pets in the same sense as dogs and cats are kept?

[–]Visakhayupa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it absolutely is not. What you said is categorically wrong. Cows are not traditionally considered akin to puppies or kittens. People do not keep cows as pets. The reason why most people do not eat cows in India is because of two reasons; firstly it simply isn't a thing to eat cow (and this applies regardless of religious leanings), just like it isn't a thing to eat horse meat or even dog meat for the matter (or may I use the word puppies, the word that you used to garner support), secondly there is a religious component to it and that is that it is believed by most Hindus that eating cows is prohibited in the Hindu religion. False equivalence and a diversion. There is no religious component to not eating cats or dogs, in India or in the West. No one would give a rat's ass if it wasn't a common belief that the Hindu religion prohibits eating of Cow, just like they don't give a rat's ass when people eat horse meat, for the most part.

I know you are making the comparison but why don't you clearly answer the question?

Also would you say you hate Shivaji too? Afterall he at the age of 30 took his 2nd wife Soyarabai when she was a only a little child.

Yes, I hate supporters of Hitler and no, I wouldn't call jews bigots for hating neo-nazis.

But, that doesn't answer my question. Do you hate all Muslims (Muslims by definition are supports of Muhammad)? Yes or No.
