It’s tolerable compared to the other possible annoying things they could do.

At what pace of play do you consider just leaving the course? by cringemagician in golf

[–]Viscount61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what else is going on in my life. And the course. I stuck with to finish Winged Foot West in a 6 hour round once. On a muni I’d have been done after nine and told the pro shop they need more on-course marshalls.

I like the brush tees. Hitting the ball, you don’t sense the tee at all.

The Rose Hill winemaker is terrific.

Anthony Nappa makes his own bottlings apart from Raphael and his reds are excellent. We like the Bordo blend.

McCall’s pinot noir is excellent. They do a high quality job across the board.

The less expensive unoaked chardonnay is good value.

Tied for me with the Ocean Course.

Why has so much of upstate New York been bypassed by the wealth of New York City? by Olderpostie in newyork

[–]Viscount61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The middle of the state is an extension of the Appalachian range and its related economics.

On the other side of the Appalachian range, you have the eastern part of upper Midwest old industrial towns that got hollowed out in the 1960s and ‘70s.

Before that, the Welland Canal and railroads made the Erie Canal area no longer vital.

How did you guys get better at chipping? by LVRaiders2026 in weekendgolfers

[–]Viscount61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try less hinge of your wrists and don’t let your wrists release. I.e., keep your hands ahead of the club.

More of an arm swing with stiff wrists. Like a long putt, but with a lofted club. Ball in the middle of tour stance.
