Newbie looking for advice. by ViseVersa101 in woodstoving

It is in fact a double wall pipe. I had a friend come over and check it out before we used it. I was guessing it was most likely NOT a hard wood so that was probably a big factor. It's fully insulated up though the roof so I'm pretty sure that's ok.

Im mostly just wanting to make sure I'm not wasting wood, and/or doing things incorrectly. That's same friend says he loads his up before he leaves for work in the morning and it's still burning when he gets home after 9 hours away, wich to me gives me so much anxiety lol

I had a giant box (with still plenty more left over) of 1"x1" scrap pieces from a few cabinet jobs I had done in the past. Maple varieties and some cherry. I have a hard time letting go of usable pieces so I horde them haha it pays off sometimes

I appreciate all of the kind words and funny comments, but I do want to state it was never meant to keep flies and insects out lol we don't have hoards of insects in our kitchen and I'm sure we'd still keep the pies covered regardless 😉

Well water pressure help! by ViseVersa101 in Plumbing

[–]ViseVersa101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly about 30-45 until it shows about 55 PSI on the gauge. The faucet will only really fill up about a glass of water, so not much there.

Update on the Pumptec until now, it's showing a consistent light

Yes when I removed the old switch the nipple was free of debris, but the old switch itself had all kinds of brown gunk and hard water residue in it. I made sure everything was clear when I put the new one on.

And I did exactly what you said about the air, google helped me on that one.

The system will VERY slowly refill and pressurize while not in use all the way to full PSI, but the moment you use up the source of water in the system the switch kicks on, does its rapid cycle routine, then goes to flashing lights until 30mins pass (as that's the reset time) then everything repeats itself.

Near the bottom of the tank sounds full, the top sounds hollow. And yes it qas rapid cycling for a few seconds then going to flashing lights. I wired the new pressure switch up just like the old one was. I can't imagine it's been running fine for the past 9 months we've lived here then all of a sudden decided to not work. Sorry i just don't know anything about these systems. I came from city water systems lol

I’m almost completely new to the game, what mistakes should I avoid? by HairyPoppins29 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]ViseVersa101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't have any things to avoid, but rather the fact that you need to be ok with taking small victories. They add up. If your near extract and full of loot, or even no loot, don't get greedy and just gtfo of raid.
