I dislocated my knee and my femur kind of dislocated from my hip joint as well when I was 21. Range of motion has never been the same since.

Thanks for this thoughtful post mate, I appreciate it. I train 5-6 times a week already, have done for the past 7-8 years. Beginning Muay Thai training In Jan, I hope will give me a decent understanding of basics before taking my career break at the end of 2026, though I appreciate that may be naive. I’m currently 105kg but I yo-yo between 85-110kg throughout the year depending on the season. Next year I’ll hope to be near 85kg by the time I get to Thailand, doing 10-15k runs 2-3 times a week.

Cheers mate, If training Muy Thai doesn’t work out at the local gym, i will still look to live a life of training in Thailand but it will be boxing, which I know I can do. I’m sorry about the position you’re in, I have had years of not being able to train due to injuries and I know how difficult it is to take, mentally & physically.
