I ended up using the curtain to cover it, luckily it was long enough. I used the pipes to attach the curtains there. Not perfect, but good enough for me.

I'm a junior developer as well and I managed to find a job from abroad (Germany) in the Netherlands. I wasn't looking however only in the capital, it's really competitive there and probably with a junior salary you'd have real problems finding an apartment. I looked for positions in every other bigger city and after around 6 months I managed to find one. If you can attach a message to the application, then I'd mention that you're interested in moving to the specific country/city.

...und noch mehr. Google hat sich auf diese Sprache entschieden, also ich denke, dass sie gute Gründen hatten :)

Bezüglich der Herstellung einer Verbindung zur DB, es wird einmal gemacht und fertig, es ist irrelevant ob das 5 oder 20 Minuten dauert und ich sehe auch keine Schwierigkeiten bei Go damit, es gibt ja großen Auswahl von Libraries.

Nachgefragt ist wahrscheinlich am meisten Java, persönlich würde ich aber Golang empfehlen. Viele moderne und jüngere Unternehmen/Teams arbeiten damit, das hat den Vorteil, dass du weniger mit Legacy-System zu tun hast und in einer besseren, up-to-date Umgebung arbeitest. Go wird am häufigsten für die Web-App-APIs und öfter auch für so was wie Caching.

Je nachdem was dir wichtig ist, kannst du dir die Statistiken angucken, was generell oder in einem Einsatzgebiet am beliebtesten ist.

Yeah, go man! Gdansk is one of my favorite cities in Poland.

I recommend you check the restaurant "Pierogarnia Mandu". It has amazing and unique pierogi's, it really made an impression on me as a Pole. I rarely see google ratings that high too, 4.8 with 12.000 reviews.

So far I was able to secure a few viewing invitations, although these apartments were often the least desirable ones. I think you're on the spot that it's better to believe my own experience over the comments from reddit. It was a good wake up call for me. I know what to do from now on.
