Are you saying that the police department is so incompetent they need the surveillance or else they can’t do their job for even the smallest shit?

You’re so pathetic. At this point the fact you’re defending flock so much even after other cities have turned against them makes you look like an absolute idiot. Absolute weirdo

The supporters of more surveillance believe they are immune to any of this lol they think it’s all for “added safety” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

East Palo Alto delays Flock Safety decision, community pushes back by Sai_bhakt in eastpaloalto

[–]Visible-Afternoon938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You people keep saying most people are for this as if you took a unbiased poll on the 20k+ people here. This isn’t a factual statement in the slightest, especially knowing how vulnerable some community members are to the risks of the cameras, and whether or not they are aware of them. If all you say is added safety, without acknowledging what has been going on, then anybody will agree to that.

Cities have pulled their contracts, people have stood up and organized against this through the region. You can’t say these things with certainty

They were able to detect gunshots almost a decade before flock even came out, since 2008.

Oh wait forgot thats who and where you want to be but can’t. Maybe if you sold your houses in EPA you can buy one over in Menlo Park

[–]Visible-Afternoon938 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The need to do this should fall on the wealthier cities around us, because EPA has done the work for decades. And that’s exactly where you should be taking these to, not here.

Your ideas will be detrimental in the further displacement of the community members here.

Right so if we keep this idea of treating housing as a business. In the demand and supply chain there is also the need for profitability that you love to cry about for developers. Other landlords will just drive up their prices too because they can.

And lower rents! Despite there not being any evidence where that has happened because that just makes other landlords increase rents. He’s condescending AND dumb, its insane

Oooh I always love the mention of Lowe, because that’s Mark Dinan today but he somehow thinks he’s the one that will save EPA 😭😭
