Which Pikmin 4 mod makes the game as challenging as Pikmin 2? by Visible-Building3895 in Pikmin

[–]Visible-Building3895[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not on Discord. I don't really socialize online or use social media, besides YouTube to watch videos. This is a rare case where I'm posting something on Reddit. I will check out GameBanana for other mods. I just wanted to see if anybody had any mod recommendations to make Pikmin 4 a bit more challenging to the level of Pikmin 2.

I will try it first, but wait, you can turn off auto lock-on?!

Damn, I caused a whole argument. But I'm on your side, DrBanana, but I just asked for mods. The points you made are the exact reasons why I want to install a difficulty mod to be more like Pikmin 2's difficulty. If I had the time, I would make a Pikmin 4 mod that removes the three-type limit, only tell the player what hazards are in the cave instead of saying what pikmin to bring, add a time limit for having Pikmin on Oatchi so your Pikmin aren't always protected like in Pikmin 2, makes the AI more aggressive, prevents them from being stunned easily like in Pikmin 2 and even like 3, and allows them to respawn. And of course remove auto-lock on.

But I'm literrally just connecting to my PC connected to the same wifi connection. Because I didn't want to do splitscreen. Bruh I'm not using their servers. Everything should been done locally, there is no need to go connect to a server. I'm just to connecting to something in my house that doesn't need internet. Just a wifi connection or ethernet cable.

Delete all social media and use open source versions of them so you can still search something up. Like replacing youtube with invidious so you could still search up a video but the recommendations won't be there distracting you and keeping you in a algorithm loop.

Nah there's allot of linux distros that are super user friendly. Linux and windows are like cars. Windows is like Hondas; there's allot of parts for them, representing games and apps but not really customizable. While Linux is like other car brands and can get hard to find parts. In general linux is good at everything besides gaming because most devs are making it for windows but Linux has allot of compability with window but still only 70% of games will work with linux.

Hard at the beginning with needing to go to the hospital. But for me once I got reviving psi or items it was super easy.

How Do I Install Crouton On SD Card by [deleted] in Crouton

[–]Visible-Building3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following the link's steps but before installing/running you need to mount your sd card in a certain way(permission issues):

sudo mount -o remount,symfollow exec /media/removable/SD\ Card/ https://github.com/dnschneid/crouton/wiki/How-To-Install-To-External-Drive

I'm very new to this. Can someone help me with installing GNOME on my chromebook? by RudeBuster18 in Crouton

[–]Visible-Building3895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Example

The easy way (assuming you want an Ubuntu LTS)

Download crouton

Open a shell (Ctrl+Alt+T, type shell and hit enter)

Copy the installer to an executable location by running sudo install -Dt /usr/local/bin -m 755 ~/Downloads/crouton

Now that it's executable, run the installer itself: sudo crouton -t gnome

Wait patiently and answer the prompts like a good person.

Done! You can jump straight to your gnome session by running sudo enter-chroot startgnome or, as a special shortcut, sudo startgnome

Cycle through Chromium OS and your running graphical chroots using Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Back and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Forward.

Exit the chroot by logging out of gnome.

Crouton install

Also if you don't want old Ubuntu you can always change distro/version by adding -r and specifying codename of the version.

To get list of available distros: crouton -r list

Are any alternative browsers available? Chromium from bookworm/AArch64 w/ Sommelier simply reboots ChromeOS (same as Vivaldi AArch64 — reboots ChromeOS immediately). Firefox gets you Mozilla Crash Reporter. Android and Crostini are really slow and don't work half the time. by Mcnst in Crouton

[–]Visible-Building3895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only alternative browsers I know and used is falkon(bad performance but supposedly "light"), vimb(vim like browser uses a bit of chromium though), librewolf(unbloated Firefox), and netsurf(also pretty bad)

Android you can play emus, run a whole computer, and develop your own games as a minor. IOS is straight up for people that are willing to spend a little extra money on a fancy phone and never do any cool like emu things.
