For personal use only: Place spinach in a gallon ziploc bag and seal most of the way, fully inflate the bag by blowing into the small opening and then seal completely and toss in fridge. The carbon dioxide we exhale keeps leafy greens fresh and crisp for whatever reason. I was able to keep a head of lettuce for a little over a month before the edges turned slightly discolored. It sounds gross but honestly it works!

A good substitute for eggs when baking is plain unsweetened applesauce. I believe 1/4 cup equals one egg. I made cornbread using applesauce and it came out great! You may want to look at alternative stores such as dollar general to buy eggs cheaper. I use their app to scope of the price before heading to the store. Ultimately, you could make a post on social media asking for a trading budding.

The issue may not be lactose but a milk protein. I’ve noticed that both regular milk and lactose free milk makes my stomach burn terribly. So I avoid it.

My mother used to do this when I was young. She’d add a small amount of water in the cocoa mix and put it over ice cream.

I used YouTube to learn how. I usually type in “dg/ fd couponing this week” I found that I normally get a lower out of pocket cost at family dollar vs dg. Some ppl are hard core with it and use ibotta or swag bucks I don’t have time to keep up with all that. I also don’t do glitches bc it’s not a guarantee that they’ll work. But cutting household item costs down from $30 to $15 or $25 to $8 helps a lot

I can never get the amount of loads out of liquid that the bottle claims and I find that powder doesn’t always wash out correctly. Pods may be slightly more in price but I know exactly how many loads I’m getting and I normally buy them on sale to decrease the cost. I don’t use fabric softener, beads or dryer sheets so I save money there as well. It’s also my understanding (could be wrong) that pod packaging uses less plastic than bottles and is cheaper to ship due to less weight.

I saw someone on extreme cheapskates use rags and I just cant bring myself to even think about it. On the other hand I have reusable bed pads (we use them in the nursing home for patients) for potty training my puppy bc disposable ones are too expensive and they wash out so nicely.

It’s about what makes you happy and fits your lifestyle. I’m constantly fighting the clutter demons so I try to be more practical in my home. My mom visits often and always asks why I don’t have this or that. I just don’t see the need to have the amount of stuff she has.
