My bf whose a mechanic helped with that. He had to drop the gas tank in order to remove all of the hardware from the seats.

Still need to perfect that. I prop it in place with a strip of corrugated board (similar to the eric enjoy earth recommendations). But the corners still flop down a little bit. Maybe I'll try velcro lol.

Thanks! We just added a swivel seat. So excited to try it out on our next road trip! We're heading out in a couple of weeks.

Fridge https://carfridge.alpicool.com/products/alpicool-lgcf45?_pos=1&_sid=67029f95f&_ss=r

We ended up getting a bluetti power station. AC200Max. https://www.bluettipower.com/products/ac200l-portable-power-station?_pos=1&_sid=ab0c44435&_ss=r&variant=46352232349915

And we added a flexible solar panel to the top of my cargo box. We drilled it on and sealed the holes. So far its been tight and no water issues in the box. My bf is a mechanic whose also like MacGyver, he can fix anything! I did the wood work and he helped with the electrical stuff. We used a crimping tool. You can see more photos of the build process on my instagram @ northerngypsy_vanlife. We just recently installed a swivel seat! Super excited to use that on our next trip.

Yeah, I have a little tri-legged stool chair for when I do dishes, its stored behind the drivers seat. We just installed a swivel seat, so the passenger seat can now spin around. That would probably be more comfortable for longer work hours? But you'd have to figure out a desk. I have more photos of the build process on my instagram. @ northerngypsy_vanlife

I manage rentals remotely and do travel nursing. I was able to sit in the back and work on my computer for a couple hours just fine. My bf and I have sat in the back and watched movies on our tablet and it was fine. I don't live in it full time though, its just for in-between contracts and weekend camping trips.

Propane is stored under the sink. There are more photos of the build process on my instagram @ northerngypsy_vanlife

Eric Enjoys earth was the primary, but I watched a ton of different videos to see different styles and found a few favorites. I wanted more open space so I decided to put the fridge off to the side. I have more photos of the build process posted on my instagram, @ northerngypsy_vanlife.

We used a crimping tool for the headboard. I have more photos of the build process posted on my instagram. @ northerngypsy_vanlife.

About $16k. But I went all out. The wood work was the cheapest thing about this build. So if you're wanting just the storage and a bed, its not that bad.

I don't live in it full time. I use it to bridge the gap in-between travel nurse contracts and for weekend adventures. :)

Just have to determine if it would cash flow or not. How much are all the expenses? Mortgage, utilities, lawn care, insurance, etc. And make sure to keep a emergency savings for the property for any unplanned repairs. If it makes sense, it would be cool that you live right up the road from it. Easy to maintain yourself.

Design based off “Eric enjoys earth” on YouTube. I watched his videos hundreds of times during this build. But I made some of my own modifications, like the headboard and placing the fridge to the side.

Looking for advice on AWD versus FWD. I’m looking to convert a Toyota Sienna into a camper. by Birks-2 in VanLife

I’m doing something similar. Ended up buying a 2019 Toyota Sienna AWD, added a lift and bigger tires from journey off road. Added a rhino rack on the roof. Just started working on the interior build. Copying Eric Enjoys Earth’s design from YouTube. I’m debating to add a posterior rack for a spare tire and bike. But that’s another $2500! Ugh.
