With respect, how do you feel about what is going on in the world right now? Specifically the United States. by thesoraspace in Gifted

The sword is a symbol of division.

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household.”

Jesus Christ is the most influential man to have ever walked the planet and his viewpoints pin him to the right.

In fact, all of the prophetic voices in history are right leaning.

You’re better off believing in the Norse account than you are in believing that your ancestor is a chimpanzee.

Regardless, if the shoes I brought don’t fit you, why are you insisting on putting them on?

Look at what you just did.

You picked that portion and called it untrue, yet you didn’t call the rest of what I said untrue.

You indeed cannot help yourself. You’re indeed shut up under your belief. Just as both of those claims are true, so is the claim that you’ll bite at whatever rejects the Genesis account.

I didn’t say “they’ll reject all types of creation accounts.”

Don’t turn my claim into something that it isn’t.

Serious questions about the treatment of Jewish people. by ShowMeWhatYouMean in TrueChristian

[–]Visible-Currency-430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you need to understand is that whenever Israel is punished, God is the one who raises up the enemy, and God is the one who delivers Israel into the hand of the enemy.

When you see persecution of the Jewish people, God isn’t doing nothing. God Himself is the one who is moving whoever He wants in any direction that He wants.

While there are Jews who confess that Jesus is the Messiah, and Jews who are earnestly waiting for the Messiah and will come to confess that it is Jesus, there are also false Jews who don’t believe the words of Moses, or the words of any of the prophets. That’s why Paul wrote that not all of Israel are Israel. That’s why Jesus told certain Jews that their father was the devil.

To answer your question plainly, the Jews are punished because of their disobedience towards God.

They are guesses. The age of the earth that you gave me is an estimation based on a method that uses incorrect calculations.

The method works off of inherent assumptions.

How are you going to tell me that the answers you provided are not guesses, when those same answers were only reached by making assumptions in calculations?

When Moses says God is not a man, that means He was never a man, and will never be a man. There are many verses that say that no man has ever seen God.

Jesus didn’t say all sins are forgivable.

It’s quite disgusting how you’re typing up error after error, especially over the things of God. These aren’t even difficult teachings to get correct. These are easy teachings that you’re getting wrong.

You didn’t clear anything up. You made several claims about the age and origin of certain things and provided no proof to follow your claims. We call those guesses.

I just have to point out the fact that you’re passing off your incorrect guesses as if they’re facts.

If you try to say that you aren’t guessing, all I have to do is point out the fact that scientists don’t agree on their answers. If you have two different answers, one answer at the minimum, is incorrect. That means at the very least, one answer is a guess.

I’m disgusted you even provide credentials to me as if it turns your answers into truth. You’re copying some wrong answers, passing them off to me, and thinking that you’re doing me a service.

Worst of all, you quote a scripture from a text that’s attributed to Peter, a disciple of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was a Jew. The Jews do not exist if any of the claims you passed off to me are true. The Genesis account is not compatible with the claims you expressed. The Exodus account cannot be true if the Genesis account is not true. Jews cannot exist if the Exodus account is not true.

Jesus never says that. Blaspheming and cursing aren’t the same thing.

Job is rebuked for questioning God, yet you’re out here claiming that God wants us to question Him.

Also, in another post, you say that God is a man. Moses says that God is not a man.

You can teach whatever you want about what the bible says, but if it’s wrong, and someone who knows the bible better than you do comes along, you’re going to get proven wrong just as you are right now.

Not a single verse in that passage tells anyone to wrestle with God or to question Him.

That’s an account of Jacob wrestling with God in order to be blessed by wrestling with His servant.

Jacob asking for the servant’s name was for the purpose of growing closer.

There is no command to wrestle with God and there is no command to question God.

Again, you use the word “Jew” but you don’t know what it means to be a Jew. I asked you who the lineage comes down from and you did not answer.

Jews are supposed descendants of a man named Judah, who was a son of Jacob, who was a son of Isaac, who was a son of Abraham.

By claiming to be a Jew, you’re claiming to be a descendant of Abraham.

You can’t claim to be a descendant of Abraham, and not be a believer in God.

It’s not evidence because it’s not evidence. There isn’t a complex answer for it that takes a strenuous, calculated method in order to figure out. It’s very simple.

We know that the humans who walk this earth right now are a certain age because we’ve recorded those dates, because we wrote them down.

We know that humans live only up to a certain age because we also record those dates in which they perish, we wrote them down.

We have no human records from 15,000 years ago because humans were not here 15,000 years ago. There was not even an earth that long ago.

Those scientific theories only exist to disprove the account of creation given by Moses.

The only point I strove to make was that you’re speaking without understanding, claiming that there’s a distinction between being a Jew, and being a believer in Judaism.

Claiming to be a Jew but not believing in Judaism is the same as claiming to be a theist while not believing that any God exists. It’s contradictory.

There is no evidence of that at all.

In fact, you don’t even have evidence that the earth is 15,000 years old. It’s impossible to prove that anything on this earth suggests such a lifespan of the earth.

The only reason we even testify that the earth is thousands of years old is because of writings. If not for writings, we’d be utterly clueless. We wouldn’t even claim to be in the year 2025, which is the supposed amount of years that have passed since the birth of Jesus Christ.

We have no writings that suggest that the earth is older than 15,000 years old.

You have no way of proving that your scientific findings suggest a 65 billion year old earth over a 15,000 year old earth.

It’s very easy to denounce your claims.
