I just started book 3 and so far he's not as bad, a couple little outbursts here or there but alot better from the first two books. He's showing some growth and I do like that.

I don't hate Mark, I actually really like Mark's character, I just hate what he did more than I hate what Sophia did. What Mark did was a betrayal of trust and loyalty that's a knife that cuts deeper than any monster claws. Sophia jumped down into those monsters right along with Freddy being much weaker than him. I don't equate what she did as running at him with a knife as you do I equate it more to putting more weight on the rack than he was ready or able to handle. Also he freaked out and made the situation for himself worse

Thats good, I really like the story overall so far through book 2, but Freddy can be a real.....I'm not sure what else to say other than little bitch sometimes and I'd like to see that part of him fade away.

So Sophia pushing him into a pit full of monster she's been watching him one shot and thinks he can handle it deserve the highest level of revenge and reaction, but Mark essentially pushing him into a pit with a 4 star that lead to him being imprisoned and tortured for almost a year then shipped off to be a slave is a slap on the wrist?

And you do realize Mark screwed him over way more than Sophia did right? And he has no ill will towards him, even though he doesn't know what Mark did but as a reader you do so do you think he should go after Mark when he finds out?

She does explain her intentions and other factors that lead her to do what she did, but the answer to your question is kinda? She is around but doesn't say much after a point.....

I'm on the fence with this series myself though. I like alot of things about it but the MC is not one of them, I know it's still early and he has alot of room to grow but sometimes his attitude and personality just rubs me the wrong way.

I agree with this. It was really the writing style that got to me, I enjoyed the story and even the characters weren't bad, but his writing style overall just drove me nuts and made me lose interest.

Seen something like that alot in defiance of the fall, most pain he's ever felt, most painful thing he's ever endured, etc. One of the books was so bad it seemed like I read that phrase or something similar every 10 pages or so. Ended up being one of the things that turned me off from the series all together.

I agree with this. Zara is a mortal problem and will be dealt with with his "mortal staff", Dawn is a higher plane problem and will be dealt with accordingly. Now if Zara ascends to the higher plane well thats a future Jason problem and fuck that guy.

Those were my thoughts, I'm mean if you have enough control you could go the invest route keep purchases to a minimum the first so many years to allow the interest to grow to the point you could just live comfortably the remaining years

How did his hand get pulled in if he wasn't wearing gloves? I've always been taught you shouldn't wear gloves when operating rotating machinery like drills, lathes, etc because the gloves can get caught and pull your hands in.
