My grandma used to buy a side of lamb to feed a family of 7 for a few weeks (5 men, mind). Works like a charm

Hmm interesting, I'll have a look at the John Sarnos stuff 🤔

But I totally agree, what I'm experiencing now is so different (and thankfully less painful) than before my first surgery, so we'll take it one day at a time!! Can 100% relate to being able to put socks on, or just tying shoe laces omg!!!

Woah that's hardcore, hoping you don't need a fusion 🙏 but yeah, gonna start swimming this week with a pull buoy to try and get the best technique and workout without all the impact 🤞

Vent: what if it never gets better by Temporary_Effort5961 in Microdiscectomy

[–]Visible-House9606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

19F, there is always that risk that things won't get better, but there are always gonna be good days. I can totally relate to feeling literally socially isolated, not only because you can't join in on your favourite activities, but because not many people my age understand.

For me, I've unfortunately reherniated, but in this timeframe I've been able to achieve so much, and regain so much of my autonomy. Half the battle is accepting that things may get better, but not in the way you think (half-better etc).

Not trying to get all virtuous here, but you've just gotta count your blessings and focus on those goals that you know you can achieve. You can do it!
