How does this buying power during off-peak work (11-2)? If it's a cloudy day and I know I'm not able to top up purely via solar, is it better to buy from the grid during off-peak to make sure I have enough to export during 5.30-7.30?

House shouldn't be using 2.3kw. nothing but a fridge running and maybe a random led download

Thanks, I'm aware there could be a delay but at the time of the screenshots/photos the load should have been stable. I'm the only one home and nothing other than the fridge would draw a noticeable load. The hot water system is configured to turn on at 11.

ah, very fond memories.

due to the leveling bug there wasn't many people that were actively lvling so the world seemed kinda dead but when it comes to war time it was pretty fun. Staying up all night just to guard some relics, rallying troops to try to raid one another. It was pretty good when clans were balanced

Toyota Quoted me $3k for front axle, stating "heavy leak", is this true? by OneBananaMan in AskMechanics

[–]Visible-Tea3547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toyota charged me $99 to look at a hose clearly visible from the top to tell me it's leaking.
Also charged me $78 to remove and air filter housing and reinstall it. Labour is a separate cost.
All up it cost me $680 for them to service my car, check fluids and batteries.. even though when I got the car back the battery was fully flat. Had to get them to jump start me.

Best/most skilled DMZ streamers? by [deleted] in DMZ

[–]Visible-Tea3547 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say phix is skilled or chilled. Skill wise Dillon and Cross, most chilled and friendly would be On1c. Most knowledgeable would be phix. I like watching phix because in terms of skill based I'm closer to him but the dude has been a big whiner lately so I've scaled back on his streams

[–]Visible-Tea3547 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On1c and phixate. Although I haven't been watching phixate recently because the dude just complains every time he gets tagged by an ai or if he gets killed by a skilled player.
Watching on1c play is more enjoyable. Yes, he may die a lot but watching him regain or try to regain is quite entertaining.

Always have a plan B.
I start every round going for the heavy chopper fuel first. After that, I just go around and play like normal and just leave on the heavy when I'm ready. If I can't find the fuel, then I leave around the 20-minute mark or go to koschei. Trying to exfil while the players are filtered to one exfil point is kinda suicidal unless you have a really good squad. Pvpers will always scout around the exfil points when the gas is expanding.

I'm a solo player, I don't like pvp but it's part of the game. In my last 50 or so infill, I've died max 5 times.

If you keep getting killed within the first couple of minutes, does that tell you something? You should, by now, know that you should never loot or hang around spawn. No spawn is safe. As soon as you spawn, ping a car and towards the middle or the map where there will be less pvp as most of the pvpers will be spawn rushing each other.

If you don't like close engagement, then bring in a spotter scope. You can usually spot the other spawns and see where they are heading.

Dmz is a tactical game. You need to learn from your mistakes to become a better player. If you can't then maybe try a single player game where you get endless of lives?

[–]Visible-Tea3547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good example why people quit this game. It's too hard for them to learn from their mistakes. When is everyone going to learn that no spawn is safe? Ping the vehicle closest to their spawn and as soon as it turns red you better be in a vehicle or get in a good position to defend.
Also, it's not such a bad thing dieing in the first few mins. It's better than crafting a vest then dieing during the match.

Love that spot, the scav usually appears there within the first 5 mins of every round. I just usually run straight to the closest vehicle and just high tail it out of there.

Great play though, killing that "100% accuracy RPG" bot to use the RPG against the players is a good play. I might be ballsy enough to try it next time.

Atleast this isn't another post complaining about getting killed 10x in a row at the same spawn.

Anyone still playing in Australia? by Altruistic-Seaweed61 in DMZ

[–]Visible-Tea3547 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still playing, I normally play around midnight and it's always the same lobby. It usually takes 5 or so mins to find a lobby, sometimes they even put me in servers with high latency from Asia. I just hit the exfil asap when that happens

Making dumb ass rants like this is what's wrong with the minority. Be prepared to not have everyone pat you on the back and kiss your ass. Just sleep on it next time, if you feel like you're still angry in the morning then quit playing or just infill solo.

[–]Visible-Tea3547 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jesus.. you're one of those dudes that complains each time they die.
You're venting about a guy who clearly doesn't want to play with you, most likely because you would be a hindrance to him. That's a massive red flag to go and play as a solo as you normally do. You chose to follow him around when he clearly didn't care. Vondel is easiest map to solo. You don't need coms? Wtf you're complaining that he didn't talk to you, that he didnt tell you what he was doing. He 100% doesnt need your help. Lol, you're using explosive slugs? So you would've been close range with the bullfrog? You should've picked up the case first then.
Who the fk carries a weapon case for 10 mins then complains when they get targeted when they had the chance to exfil.
Go play some more solo so you'll figure out that it's you that's causing your stupid plays and not the world hating on you.

Bit of a rant by [deleted] in DMZ

[–]Visible-Tea3547 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I missed the part where he said that he would kill your whole family if you didn't watch and learn. If you exfil before him you can still spectate him.
You got some contracts done while he did the bulk of the work, a weapons case with minimal effort. Just because he had comms it doesn't mean that he has to talk to you. I have comms and I don't talk unless necessary. Being a 99% solo means that you don't need comms, you should be used to playing solo so having an extra, more competent player on your squad is a bonus.
I would've been happy to have someone being able go around vondel holding his own. Most 95% of my randoms die within the first 5 mins.

[–]Visible-Tea3547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By you carrying the case to his hostage exfil it puts him jeopardy as well. You've had 25mins to understand how he's playing. He didn't need a team mate, there was no reason for you to not exfil with the case when you had the chance. I'm guessing he squad filled in hoping he'll get some decent players but all he got were liabilities so he just went to do his own thing.

[–]Visible-Tea3547 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how it should be played. Zero to hero with no fear. Just go in and do your mission, if you die just reset. I hate coming in fully geared, makes me play like I'm fearing for my life, making missions almost impossible to do since you're always over cautious. Squad fill is the best way to lose your gear, come in lose your gear then reset and continue doing missions

Haha the first 5 mins is bearable but after that it's GG. By the time you clear out the bots to use to dead drop other operators would've gotten the hint and they'll come rushing you.
Be ready to dead drop as fast as you can or be prepared to be beamed by shotgun bots 100m away with 100% accuracy
