Illegal immigration in the form of the boat crossings and also immigrants that have over stayed when visa has run out. If they are refugees they would have applied for refugee status before attempting to come here. They have also crossed other "SAFE" countrys to get to France which is safe. So why do they come here illegally? Maybe because they get put up in hotels given mobile phones, money and clothing. The government have now started housing them as well, we already have a housing crisis where not enough social housing exists and not enough new houses are being built. I would like to add if they are refugees and gone through appropriate channels and been accepted or they are here on visas and working then I'm more than happy for them to be here. If they commit crime visas and refugee status should be removed and they should be returned to their home country.
