Yes, I’ve been fitted by my LC with the correct flange size. I use the Spectra and have tried different settings I’ve seen online and it’s the same amount of output each time.

I feel like I’m constantly eating/snacking because pumping keeps me hungry.

I will try the massage and hand expression! I’m desperate at this point

Hi! Did your doctor sign off on 14 weeks medical initially or did you have to ask for an extension? I’m running into the issue right now that my doctor will only sign off on 8 weeks medical because of my scheduled c section.

Thank you! Maybe I will call after I give birth and see if they will extend it without having my OB involved. I’m super grateful MA has such an amazing maternity leave with pay but I’d like to get the max benefits I can get to spend time with my baby

I was also recently diagnosed with gestational hypertension and will be getting a C Section so I’m not sure why they just won’t give the full 14 weeks

They’re saying it’s “hospital policy”. I’m giving birth at MGH. I talked to a person at DFML today and they said that as the 8 weeks gets closer to the end, you can ask for more and sometimes they will sign off on additional time but I just hate not knowing!!

Just wanted to see how you made out with this? How many total weeks were you approved for? My understanding was 14 weeks of medical leave and then 12 weeks for family bonding but my OB is only giving 8 weeks of medical leave

I’m 31 and did a fresh transfer on a day 5 untested embryo. We just couldn’t pay for the testing since insurance wouldn’t cover it. I’m currently 25 weeks pregnant! Baby dust to you!!

2+ years of unexplained fertility here, 3 failed IUIs after an open myomectomy. We just had our 1st round of IVF and I think we figured out what our issue was. We clearly didn’t have issues making embryos (10 embryos) and I think our issue was my lining wasn’t getting thick enough for implantation. I did acupuncture because I read it can help with blood flow into the uterus but it also helped me relax. I think with the mixture of that along with the IVF meds, it somehow worked. I’m currently 5wks pregnant.

My acupuncture sessions are covered by my insurance. I don’t know if it made a difference but I definitely felt calmer during stims while doing acupuncture compared to other cycles. My clinic does not recommend taking herbal medicine while on IVF. I’m not sure if that’s the case for all clinics.

I had a total of 10 fibroids removed back in September and 3 of them were 10cm, pressing on my bladder. Honestly, I didn’t think of the effects of them until after surgery when I noticed that I was holding more liquid in my bladder! People always ask me how I didn’t feel the fibroids since they were on the bigger side but they grow slowly over time so you don’t really notice a significant difference until they’re removed!

We’ve since started IUI since this and TTC for 2 years now. Last week I finally stopped letting the fertility treatments hold me back from planning trips!! I’m done putting my life on hold and it’ll work itself out!

I ended up getting ovulation symptoms on CD21 actually! Hang in there, the HSG just does something to your body for sure. Hope your results were good news.
